After The Fall

"what are these tattoos on your neck" clary said as she touched his neck where the runes were.

"its... Um" he swallowed "it's a long story" he Chuckled nervously "I... Uh.... I have to go" he started backing up.

"but, how do I find you" she took a step closer

"I'll find you" he smiled as he ran out of the alley, once he was out of her sight he activated his speed rune and ran to the institute, he went to find Isabelle

"IZZY! IZZI !!!" he basically screamed to the whole institute

Isabelle heard his screams and got worried "jace, are you okay what happened"

"she.... She rememberes me... She friking remembers me" he said in excitement and huged her

"who, jace what are you talking about" she pulls from the hug "are you okay, who are you talking about"

"clary of course" he explained "I went to see her again tonight and I made sure my invisibility rune was working like 10 times, I was watching her and then she smiled at me. I got out and she came after me, she said 'I know you, you're jace right', she remembers me" he let that sink in, the feeling of absolute joy, for the first time in a year.

"by the angel! " Isabelle exclaimed "that can't be, jace this is wrong and dangerous, the angels said that she would lose all her memories, how is this possible" her words hit him back to reality

"I'm not sure, maybe the angels forgave her" he suggested, "I'm calling Alec and magnus, maybe magnus can help"

"yeah that's a good idea, I'll tell Simon" she gets her phone

He nodded as a response and walked a few steps away and called Alec "hey brother, I have big news" he said hoping someone would be as excited as he was

"hello, what, what happened" he got a little worried

"get magnus on the phone with you" he said trying not to burst

"hey there" magnus's voice spoke. "okay we're hearing you" Alec said in anticipation

He told the story all over again "... She remembers me Alec, thank the angels she remembers me" his voice echoed in the phone

Both Alec and magnus looked at each other in absolute shock and stayed silent

"I was thinking, maybe you guys can come and examine her maybe, or something"

"yes of course dear, we will be there tomorrow, get her to the institute" magnus confirmed even tho Alec gave him 'the look'. As soon as jace hang up Alec burst "what if she doesn't, what If it's just a moment" she scratched his hair nervously "I just don't want him to get upset all over again, and lose him like we did last year, he can't go through that again, he won't survive" Alec was very worried for his brother

"babe, I don't think that's the case, there are 2 theories here, it's either the angels forgave them, or their love was stronger than the angels, and I have to admit, I hope it's the first one" he sighed knowing what could happen if it's the 2nd theory
