Chapter 1 "Preparation"

"Hoy trulaley ka d'yan, Samantha?"

Lumipad ang nanggagalaiti kong tingin kay Vie nang marinig ang tinawag niya sa akin.

"Pake mo d'yan, Bianca?" ganti ko sa pamamagitan ng pagtawag ng buong pangalan n'ya with matching action na exaggerated masyado.

"Yuck. Ang pangit mo. Teka, ba't ka nga tulala d'yan?" she asked.

I laughed so hard when I saw her squinch after I mentioned her full name. She was holding her favorite Vanilla ice cream when all of a sudden I stole it from her.

"Patikim" and took 3 scoops of it.

"Tangina naman, Sam! Binibili pa lang 'yung sa'yo ni Red 'tsaka Ian e! Ano ba yaaaan."

"Vie, hindi ako a-attend sa Graduation Ball bukas, wala akong su-suotin." I said to her. "..... 'tsaka ayaw ko rin makita 'yung mga papogi do'n. kadiri."

"Are you expecting someone will invite you to a dance? Sam, average lang tayo hindi naman tayo kagandahan. 'Tsaka, Red and Ian volunteered themselves to be our partner diba" she pointed out.

"Ate sis, you don't need to worry sa su-suotin mo, we'll provide it. Pagagandahin rin namin kayong dalawa para mainggit 'yung mga pangit do'n" dagdag naman ng kararating na si Red.

I ran towards him and brought my Rocky Road ice cream on my place beside Vie.

Ah right, we were preparing for our Graduation Ball tomorrow, not me tho. I don't have anything to wear, unlike them. Nandito kami ngayon sa condo ng kaibigan kong si Vie para pag-usapan kung saan kami magkikita bukas, and kung anong kachurvahan na.

"We sorted it out already, Sam. May extra naman daw si Red do'n, and we also contacted your parents about our Graduation Ball, they were fine about it." Ian indicated, suppressing his evil grin.

"I envy you for having a body like that, Sam. For having a 5'8 height, with your matured body. A-akalain nilang model ka, except lang talaga sa mukha mo, sobrang plain." Red said and put an arm around me.

Folding my arms over my chest, I muttered, "Stop giving me compliments if you're going to ruin it at the end, Radleigh."

"You'll regret it if you don't come, Sam. Once in a lifetime lang 'to" Ian said.

"Do I have a choice?" I added.

The three of them shrieked in excitement when they heard my answer.

"Si Ian partner mo, Sam. Partner ko naman si Red." Vie went on. Bianca was one of my bestfriend. 5'4 height, shoulder length hair, and one sweet smile, which was her best charm. AB Psychiatrist. Same as me. Ewan ko ba kung bakit niya sinasabing 'average' lang siya e ang ganda-ganda niya.

"Bagay 'yun sa'yo, Sam. Teka, sa room ko na lang kayo pumunta." Red suggested. As for Radleigh, his best charm was his shallow dimple. Every girls on my block has a crush on him not until he ramp and flip his imaginary h long hair. He's gay. Fair height, blond curly hair. BS Accounting. Same building lang din sila ni Vie ng tinitirhan.

Lastly, Ian, he's pretty and handsome at the same time, 5'7 height, black shiny hair, and has the cutest smile in the whole world. When it comes to him, I am sure so gullible. Ang cute niya kasi. But, on the contrary, he was blunt and honest. He's bisexual.

"Kinakabahan ako," I breathed out. "First time kong makasali sa ganito."

"That's normal. Kami rin naman no'ng nag Prom kami, but it was exciting at the end!" Ian said.
