Chapter 7: Single?

I open the door to be immediately tackled to the floor.

"Can you believe we are actually here?" Humira screeches

"I am so glad to see you, this all way feeling very lonely" I confess to her while shoving her off me and standing up. I take a moment to see her wearing the same hoodie at me.

"Love, I am literally your neighbour" She happily says while point to my left wall, suggesting her room is on the other side of it.

"Have you met any of the players yet?" I ask her. I continue unpack while waiting her response.

"No. I haven't been that lucky. Have you?" she confesses to me. 

"I saw two men playing basketball, I recognise one of the them Kalvin Phillips" I tell her

"OHHH, you have to tell me everything?" she holts me from putting any more stuff away.

"There really isn't much to say, they just stared at me like I was an alien. I guess we are going to get a lot of that" Unfortunately this being the part I am not looking forward to.

"They probably were checking you out, would you date another member?" she smirks at me while asking this.

"I doubt it, I think it would be really difficult" I honestly answer

"Well I totally will if any of them are interested" she exclaims and I can't help but burst out laughing at her.

"I guess we better leave its almost one" I say attempting to change the conversation. We both head down stairs and don't pass anyone on route. Much to Humira's disgrace. We get to the main lobby to see Emily waiting for us.

"Hey ladies, I see you found each other. We will just wait for the final girl and then start the tour" Emily says, and as she does I immediately look at Humira to find her already looking at me. We forgot about Sadie. Knew this moment was too good to be true. Just then I hear heels and I look at the door to see Sadie walking in. She is wearing a very short red dress and a full face of makeup. I look down at my jeans, trainers and jumper. Starting to feel very underdressed.

"Wow, don't you look nice" Emily says.

"Well I thought I would make an effort. It's nice to see you both again" Sadie puts on a fake smile while looking me up and down.

"Shall we get started then? Lots to see" We all nod and follow Emily. The tour lasts around an hour. We see all the facilities. The pitches, gym, locker rooms, swimming pool and rehabilitation unit. This all feeling very unrealistic at the moment. This place was incredible.

"Right, I think it's time you ladies met your team members" Emily says while pushing open the door that says "games room" on the outside. My anxiety starts to climb. Humira nudges me slightly and winks at me. Of course Sadie goes strutting in.

"Hello Boys" She announces to the room.

"Boys, I would like you to meet: Sadie, Humira and Kimberley" Emily says to the room. I take a deep breath and go inside. To be faced with around 20 boys. They all come up and introduce themselves. All seem really friendly.

"Hey I am Declan" one of the boys said. I recognise him from playing basketball earlier. I introduce myself back. Just when I thought I had met everyone I look up to see another boy walking towards me. That face. The face that I saw on the pitch that day. He was beautiful. As he gets closer a smile appears on his face, with a hint of relief.

"Hello, I'm Mason" he says stopping in front of me. I lost the ability to speak for a moment. Being completely lost in his eyes. Then I remember where I am. I see him waiting to shake my hand.
