A crowd of people watching. You can hear all of their voices cheering for their favorite car racer. Even the sound of those sports car was all over the place. I can feel it even though I'm still inside our tent, though I have the view for the audiences.

I was wearing my racing suit, there's a different brands printed on it. And I'm here with my team which I build up just a few months ago. They became one of my foundations when I decided to sign my intent in joining NASCAR.

Looking back, well, I admit it was not an easy process. I need to endure all of the negative comments about me, the discrimination because I'm a Filipina joining this kind of field, they don't even want to believe that I can also do what other racers can do on the speedway.

But I still made it. Nagawa kong indahin lahat ng trainings at mga walang puspusang pagproseso ng lahat ng mga papeles na kakailanganin ko para lang makasali dito sa karerang inaasam ko.

When I first joined car racing in the Philippines, I have nothing but my trainor and friends. They are the one who's on my back while I'm competing. I'm not famous back then, kahit mismong kalahi ko ay hindi naniniwala sa kakayahan ko.

Pero ngayon ay nandito na ako. I worked on what I got now. I build every step just to reach my place and tell everyone that I'm not just a woman.

"It's now or never Vanessa. You have the power now to control everything once na sumakay kana sa loob. It's all up to you kung paano ka gagalaw sa field. Just always remember lahat ng tinuro namin sayo." my trainor said, it was Sir Bonifacio.

He didn't leave me alone, he guided me until the top of my dreams. He was there for me every time na may sinasalihan akong karera, at itong international racing ang pinakagoal namin since then.

"Thank you so much coach, thank you for being here." I said and give him a warm hug.

Para ko na rin siyang Tatay dahil sa tagal na naming magkakilala. I was just in first year college when I first sign the contract from him, hindi naman ako nagkamali ng piniling trainor.

"Goodluck Vanessa, I believe on what you can do." naluluha ako sa sinabi ng isa sa kateam ko pero pinigilan ko ang pagbagsak nun dahil alam kong hindi pa ito ang oras para magdrama.

"Thank you Casper." napayakap din ako sa kanya, he's an American but he didn't say any words when he found out that I'm a Filipina racer.
