Closing her eyes, she knew.
She was going to die.
In a morbid kind of way, she always wondered what death would be like.
Would she be sent to the afterlife, where she would be judged for her sins? Would she reincarnate, and start all over again?
Or would she cease to exist?
Her body was growing colder.
She took her final breath.
...before opening her eyes again.
This wasn't her place of death, where was she?
"Hello, Athanasia."
Her gaze snapping over, she realized she was in a graveyard. In front of her was a brunette and a gravestone.
"I apologize. I did not mean to kill you." The brunette's eyes teared up. "I wasn't aware that father.."
"Uh, hey? Miss?" I called out. "I understand this is an important moment, but where am I?"
"I'm so sorry!" She was full on crying now. I get she was emotional, but ignoring people was rude. I reached out to grab her, only for my hand to phase through.
And then I realized, I had reincarnated into someone who had died.
