It was raining hard when Mollie emerged from the airport in Italy. She couldn't wait to get to the hotel. She needed to see Seb. She needed to try and fix what she had done. She only hoped that it wasn't too late.
Her stupid jealousy had led her to make the biggest mistake she had ever made. She hadn't even given him a chance to explain. Elena had come between them already, but only because she'd let her.
Cassie pulled up in front of Mollie and Ash in the hire car she had just collected. Mollie opened the boot and lifter her case in before opening the back door and climbing in. How was she going to fix this? An apology to start with. That's if Seb would listen. She wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to know.
It was a ten minute drive to the hotel. Soon Mollie was dragging her case into her bedroom. As soon as the door shut behind her she took out her phone and rang Seb's number. No answer. Was that because he didn't want to speak to her?
She sat down on the bed and hung her head down. Why had she been so stupid? Why hadn't she given him a chance to explain?
Her phone rang, making her jump. She looked at the screen. It was him.
She quickly accepted the call.
" Hello," she answered.
"Mollie, you called." Mollie bit her lip. He sounded pissed off. This wasn't going to be easy.
"Seb, I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I was a bitch. I know what happened. Cassie told me. I'm so, so sorry."
"Have you any idea how much you hurt me Mols?"
"Please Seb. I'm sorry." The tears started falling. She'd stuffed up. She'd lost him. "I get it. I stuffed up. I'm so fucking dumb." Seb disconnected the call.
Mollie buried her face in her pillow, sobbing. It really was over. She didn't know how long she cried for but after what seemed to be hours, but in reality was no longer than twenty minutes, there was a knock on the door.
Mollie ignored it. She didn't want to talk to anyone. Another knock, this one more insistent. Mollie knew she'd have to answer or whoever it was would just keep on knocking.
She opened the door and to her surprise she found Seb stood there. He looked like he'd been out on a run. He was wearing a pair of football shorts and a grey T-shirt. His hair was damp with sweat.
"Are we just going to stand here or are you going to ask me in?"
"Of course, come on in."
She closed the door behind him. The second the door shut Seb pulled her into his arms and kissed her thoroughly. After a minute he pulled back.
"Seb, I'm so sorry," Mollie started sobbing. "I don't know what came over me. I was jealous because she was hugging you and then I saw that pic and I jumped to conclusions. I should have let you explain. I'm so sorry. I don't want to lose you." He hugged her tightly to his chest.
"Baby, you haven't lost me. I get how it looked. I never really stopped to consider how you'd feel when I hugged Elena after the race. I'm sorry too."
"I thought I'd lost you when you hung up."
Seb gave a small laugh. "Yeah I probably shouldn't have done that. I just reacted on instinct. I was pissed off but as soon as I did it I regretted it and knew I had to see you. I was actually talking to Joel down in the lobby when you rang and he asked Cassie your room number. I just came straight here instead of wasting time on phone calls."
"I'm just struggling Seb. I want to be able to kiss you when I want. Also I'm fed up with other men trying it on because they think I'm single."
"They what? Who?"
