the chapter starts with kartik getting a phone call and what he heard on the phone call numbed him leading a lone tear pass his eyes which was noticed by sirat;

"kartik kya hua aap theek hain na",said sirat diverting everyone's eyes to kartik while everyone was calling him asking what has happened , he was still in his frame of mind wondering what had he just heard;

On the call , it was a doctor's call;

"is this mr. kartik goenka speaking",asked the doctor

"yes",said kartik

"mr. goenka please come to city hospital, xyz city immediately your wife..she is calling out for you  please come here",said the doctor leaving kartik shocked !! 

kartik pov

naira ..she is alive but how i have to go now naira she needs me on the call the person looked like he  was a doctor my naira she needs me she ..she was she is alive my naira is alive oh my god i cant believe its true i am coming to you naira 

kartik pov ends 

while kartik was brought out of his thoughts by sirat and when kartik lifted his gaze he saw the whole families eyes on him worriedly to escape the questions right now he just  spoke;

"mujhe jaana hoga dont get tensed",saying this kartik stood up and ran outside to the way to city hospital hoping that it was not a prank and all of it was true leaving everyone confused 

"kittu ko kya ho gaya whose call was it?",asked suhasini

"pata nahi maaji i hope kuch hua na ho",said swarna tensed while sirat looking at her;  

"aap chinta mat kijiye sab theek he hoga",said sirat 

"haan sirat",said swarna

i think kuch toh hua hain the way kartik reacted i hope koi aur nayi problem nahi aa gayi ho pehli hi bohot kuch hua hain and i hope mauri bhi jaldi se theek  ho jaaye chahti toh main yeh bhi hoon ki mera aur ranveer ka rishta theek ho jaaye par hamesha jo hum chahte hain voh toh nahi hota na

While we can see kartik running in the corridors of the hospital with a turmoil going in his head;

Getting a call of naira being alive was just shocking for me it has now been almost 1 year to that miserable day I don't know what has happened to her part of me was saying that I finally got my love back but part of me is saying that it might be a prank call which I don't want . driving quickly and reaching the hospital and running through the corridors with just a thought that if I get my naira my life back I will be grateful to that person who saved her please krishnaji naira he ho it should not be a prank call please

I walk to the cabin with teary eyes and my hands trembling and when I open the door what I see just sends me to heaven .my naira in front of me I was hoping this not to be a dream and that's why I pinched myself and that's when reality struck me that she is there right in front of me

My sight was struck to her staring at her it was after so long that I saw that face which I want to see the first thing in the morning tears falls from my eyes and when my eyes go through the room I realise that machines have surrounded naira she has lost that bright face instead what I see now was naira's pale face , her eyes closed and the question hovering my mind is what has happened to my naira ?

Kartik pov ends 

"naira naira kya hua tumhein open your eyes naira please",said kartik beside naira and then he turned around to see the doctor coming inside;

"umm is it mr. goenka if I may suppose ?",asked the doctor

"yes what happened to naira what's wrong with her is she fine ?",asked kartik panicking

"calm down mr. goenka she was not fine but now she is fine she is unconscious right now because we have given her the sedatives",said the doctor

"but what had happened to her?",asked kartik

"come to my cabin mr. goenka and let her rest stress is not good for her",said the doctor 

While kartik followed the doctor's cabin reluctantly just hoping naira to be fine he sat while the doctor started explaining what had happened to naira .

"see mr. goenka as far as I remember naira's condition was very critical when she came here umm about 10-12 months back a couple brought her saying that she has fallen from some cliff and that they have found her ..her condition was very much critical ..we operated her but she landed up in coma and she woke up 2 days ago and that's how she told your name to us and we contacted you ..i wont say that her condition is still good but its stable being in coma for like 10 months she may need help to walk and full bed rest for 1 year we can discharge her now but if you have any issues then we can keep a nurse beside her",said the doctor 

While kartik was dumbstruck learning upon that his naira was in coma for so long if he would have searched in a full team he would have found her long back he was blaming himself for her condition deep inside he was blaming himself that if he would have hold her hand that moment nothing as such would have happened but what say destiny has it owns plans right ?!

"can I meet her?",asked kartik

"yeah sure she must have gotten conscious by now you can meet her but try not to stress her ",said the doctor

"yeah sure",said kartik 

And that was it kartik went on the room in the corridors as to how will he face her ofcourse he has been yearning to meet her but the thought of all the happenings around were just disturbing him . he was very much dumbfounded he was wondering as to how naira will react to sirat , kairav and her bonding also her reaction when she will come to know about sirat and ranveer's relation.
