New Years Day

"Baby how do I look" Nicki said twirling around in a floral mini dress. "Lookin like its time for us to go come on"we were already 30 minutes late for the party. "Aimee was having a New Years party at a private venue and we were invited. "Fine, Fine" she put on her shies and grabbed her coat and we were ready to go.

"Babe y'know when we get married and stuff I was thinking I permanently change my name to Nicki what you think" I could tell these were one of the things I couldn't make into a joke. "No don't change it it very special to your family and I personally love calling you Onicka" I smiled. "I tell you to call me Nicki" she crossed her arms.

"And I tell you to call me Drake" too bad I was driving. We pulled up to the venue and it crowded Aimee has too be many friend for my likings. "Hey did you ever figure what what happened to Aimee" I asked her she was Nicki's friend so it was obligation to care about them while I rather not see them ever again. "No no one has I just left it alone but come on its time to party" we walk in and went straight to get some drinks. "Dricki you made it" Leslie said her sparkling ring looked gold and I looked at Nicki's .

Just not the same feeling buy at the same time I'm not ready for all that I don't think I have commitment issues. "Drake I'm stealing Nicki for a bit" she gave me a quick kiss and I sat at the bar. " Drake I feel like I haven't seen you in years how you doing" Sean said he looked different maybe that beard of his. "You know Nicki keep me and busy and I'm sure Leslie dies the same to you" we cheered and watch everyone on the dancefloor.

"Yo when you gonna stop playing Nicki" he asked me. "What you mean I stop being a player Long time ago" I'm looking at this boy side way now he better not be another Luis I can't handle anymore drama. "She's a gorgeous lady and your not giving her what she deserves a another man might" and he walked off. I don't know what way to take that I could take it two. I finished my drink and went to go fine Nicki.

"Drake can I talk to you" Aimee tugged at arm she looked worse her eyebrows were cut and her lip was bsuted what does this chick do. "Sure" she dragged me to back of the venue creepy. "Look I can trust you right" her eye started twitching so I just nodded. "My ex-boyfriend Erin is in the party and he's been beating me do you think you could do me a favor and pretend to be my boyfriend."

This chick is delusional she may be a friend but I don't do that type of shit, "I'm good ask someone else" I saw her face twist up and her veins were popping out. "You'll regret this" she stormed back in the party. Why does this always happen to me I understand I'm the shit I'm fucking hot but I'm taken. I sighed can't wait for the little surprise Aimee had for me. I went back to the party and finally found Nicki. "Hey babe I feel like you've been missing out on the fun."

"Sure but its 12:50 so in 10 more minutes new year new start Deal?" She shook my hand and we stared at the stage where a plastic bacll inched closer to a bucket of water signaling the new year. "What is Aimee doing and what happened to her " Leslie said. Aimee clothes and ripped and her hair was sticking up what trouble am I getting into now "Ladies and Gentleman I have an announcement Drake raped me" she started tearing up funny thing is no one looked at me.

They all stared at her and started throwing food at her some even screamed "You Skank leave Dricku alone" I thought that was pretty cute not the girl though she had teeth like a beaver.  I'm tired and not the sleeping tired I wanted to get home and talk to Nickj. "I'm so sorry Aimee needs to get her head together" Leslie said and dismissed herself.

I made 2 plates to go and got a drink for the road. We got in the car to tune out the awkward silence in the car. "Babe I'm so sorry I never knew Aimee would do that I expected that from Melissa" she touched my hand. I"m at a lost of words I removed my hand and called up Kaitlin her due date was rapidly approaching. "Hey Happy New Year" I tried to sound exciting. "Nothing but waiting my baby girl to arrive" she sounded excited wish I could feel the same.

I looked at Nicki she knew who I was talking to I felt bad "Hey I Call you later" I hung up maybe its time for a conversation. "So Is Aimee still gonna be around and stuff" probably a dumb question but I'm making small talk. "No imma talk to Melissa and Leslie did he you know your boyfriend been beating her" I nodded I always know things I shouldn't. "You were talking to Kaitlin on the phone right?"

"Yeah I wished her a happy new years imma call up my mom and Grandma when we get to the house" she shook her head why I gotta stop getting in trouble I wanna live a drama free life. "When are you gonna cut her out of your life already I personally had enough of her" she cursed under her breath.  "I can't abandon her like everyone and you know that I know she's my ex but I can't live her out their hanging" all I can smell is an argument brewing.

"I know that but you lay more attention to her than me how am I suppose to feel Drake" she started crying and I can't bear to see her cry. "I'm sorry about that but at the end of the day I'm not leaving her out hanging" she never responded and the ride home was silent. We pulled up and she rushed inside. I just wanna go to sleep and not have any stress for the remaining week off from school.

"Drake do you love her" she came out of the bedroom one heel on one heel off. "No I don't love her I love you" she gave me the funny look so I knee she didn't believe it. "You sure don't act like it" she fiddles with the promise ring and that's when I blew up. "IM DONE IM DONE NICKI WERE DONE."
