Asgard

Grief is all the love one wishes to give but cannot. It's heavy, devastating. A never-ending journey. Grief is not something you go through, it's the weight you have to live with, the regrets that won't ever leave you alone.

The truth is, you never know when you might be seeing someone for the last time.

Nolahni was bereaved. Never in a million years did she think she would lose Loki. She hated how people talked about his death. About her being a widow. Hell, she hated Loki for letting go willingly, looking into her eyes. It only made her wonder if she was not enough. In fact, she had a whole book of unanswered questions.

The process of coping with loss, of being broken, was incredibly exhausting.

They wanted a forever. Now, she was alone her, her skin caught on hooks chained to rough rocks made of all the futures she thoughts they would have.

It was terrible. Waking up every day without him by her side. She felt him everywhere, looked for him in everything.

Yet, weirdly enough, the pain did not make the Novarkian break. She thought her dark powers would get unleashed the second she'd lose her lover. But they hadn't, which only proved what she resented: fear is the key to her powers.

If only he was alive.

And suddenly, it came to her attention that he was. She could not believe it. How could she, really? He died in front of her.

"Show me." She told the Queen who let her know that her lover was not dead.

And she saw him too, through the older woman's memories. Wearing his headdress, standing tall, a dark look in his eyes. It had been so long she almost didn't recognise him. He looked unwell, as if tortured.

His wife was almost glad to see him in that state. Oh, she was furious. If I get my hands on him, he will wish he was dead. She thought.

She had yet to believe it. Her heart felt free of the sinking weight, but she needed to see him.

The following day was a roller coaster of emotions. Nolahni did not wake up with regrets and tears. Yet the smile on her face flew away the second Heimdall broke down the news of Loki's activities on Midgard.

"The Tesseract!? He has the Tesseract!?" She exclaimed, her eyes widened.

"And no good intentions." Frigga murmured on her side, in a way only Nolahni heard her.

Thor managed to convince his father to let him go retrieve the Tesseract back to Asgard, take Loki back home.

"I will go with you." The brunette affirmed.
