Chapter 33

RYUJIN

The brightness from outside startled me awake. I didn't really get much sleep last night and my body, on the other hand, was sore and aching. I forced myself to stand up, but ugh... my head is aching as well. Then it occurred to me that I had only arrived here in Korea yesterday.

Jet lagged.

I opened my phone and saw 15 missed calls from Sir Sam. I immediately called him to inform him I will not be able to go today.

"Ryujin! I've been calling you since forever. ITZY is already here, we can't open your studio. You have the key to it." He greeted as soon as he answered the call.

"Sir, I'm really sorry," I said and coughed. "I'm not really feeling well today. I'll just call my friend to go there and open it."

"What happened?" He asked. 

"Jet lagged." I answered. "My whole body is aching and I didn't get much sleep."

"Oh," He answered. "Okay, I understand. Are you sure we'll continue without you? Do you want to move the date?"

"No, sir." I said. "Just go on without me. Besides, ITZY is already there, right?"

"Okay," He replied. "What time will your friend be here?" 

"In 15 minutes, sir." I answered. "I'll text her right away after we end this call."

"Okay," He replied. "Take good care of yourself and text me when you can already work." 

"Okay, sir." I said. "I'll hang up now." 

As soon as we hang up the call, I instantly called Chaeryeong and informed her to go to the studio because I'm not feeling well. 

After the phone calls I made, I quickly went back to my room and lie down on my bed. I am so tired. I just realized that the time difference of Korea and UK is far from each other that's why my body clock is not yet adjusting.

Few minutes later, I didn't notice I already fell asleep.

My phone woke me up. It's been ringing for God knows how long. I checked the clocked on the wall and it's already 7 PM. I slept too much. I didn't even had any breakfast or lunch. Ugh. My whole body and head is still aching.

The ring from my phone came to an end. I took my phone from the table beside my bed to check whose call did I missed.

What the hell? Did I really sleep for too long? I also checked the messages and all of the people who called me just asked if I'm good and to get well soon.

I replied to my friends and my mother that I'm doing well and that they don't have to worry anymore.

Oh? Yeji texted me too? I immediately checked her messages.
