Chapter 2

The next morning Team Rocket we're packing away their things. "Did you happen to see where the twerps were when you went to the lake James?" Jessie asked. James looked at her while folding his sleeping bag.

"Yeah, they're heading that way today I think." He said pointing to the left. "Good, hopefully we can get that Pikachu for the boss this time!" She snickered. James rubbed his hands together, smiling devilishly. "Oh he's going to be happy with us!"

"Thanks for breakfast Brock!" Ash said rubbing his stomach. "Those were the best pancakes I've ever had!" Max cheered. "Chaaa!" Pikachu chipped in. "You guys are more than welcome." Brock smiled. May was walking beside her group, looking at the sky.

They all looked at each other confused before looking at May. "Hey, May. Are you okay?" Brock asked. "You seem a bit, out of it today?" May looked at Brock. "Hmm? Oh yeah I'm fine! Strange dream that's all!" She laugh.

The truth was, she couldn't stop thinking about that Team Rocket villain! Out of all guys, why did she have to crush on him! He treated me differently at his grandparents house, I've never seen that side of him.

"May watch out!" Ash panicked grabbing her wrist quickly. May looked at Ash confused, then in front of her. Gasping in terror she fell backwards, in front of her was a sheer drop down onto a road.

"Its a good thing Ash grabbed you sis, you would of been badly hurt if you kept walking!" Max said. I could of died if I fell! All those cars. Ash and Brock helped the wobbly legged May to her feet.

"Maybe we should leave tomorrow, I don't think it's safe to keep walking if May is daydreaming." Brock suggested. May shook her head. I need to stop thinking about him! "No, no. I'm fine, let's keep going." May said.

"We could follow that road down there, it could lead to Sootopolis City!" Max suggested watching the cars. Brock thought for a moment then smiled nodding. "That road does lead there, good eye Max." Brock said.

Max smiled happily. "Let's find a way to get down there!"

"Looks like they're heading for Sootopolis City." Meowth guessed looking through the binoculars. "So, what's are plan this time?" Jessie asked. "We could always meet them half way and give them a battle they'll never forget?" James suggested.

"Do you think it will work?" Meowth asked. "Never usually works.." Jessie rolled her eyes. "Do you have a better idea?" She challenged. Meowth thought and shrugged.

"That's what I thought!" She snapped. "Should we use the balloon or put it down somewhere?" James asked. "We'll use the balloon." Jessie said.

Max suddenly stopped. "What's that shadow?" He asked watching a large round shadow move slowly on the dirt trail. "Looks like a Snorlax?" Ash laughed. Brock thought for a moment. "Wait a minute, isn't that-"

They all looked up as they heard music. "Prepare for trouble!" The red headed teen announced. "And make it double." The purple headed teen announced. May looked up at James, heart beating fast.

"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie continue. "To unite all people within our nation!" James said. "To denounce the evil of truth and love!" Jessie announced. "To extend our reach to the stars above!" James smirked.

"Jessie!" Jessie stated. "James!" James said with passion. "Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" Jessie announced. "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" James announced.

May watched in awe as James jumped out of the basket towards the grass, she watched as his short purple hair delicately blew in the breeze. James had his arm stretched out, his fingers touching Jessie's fingers as the creamy cat Pokémon landed on their hands. "Meowth that's right!" He finished.
