The older man rolled his eyes before looking away with an annoyed expression.
"Unless you want me to go back to calling you-"
Cameron was cut off by a frantic looking David, who yelled,
"NO!"
There was a split second of shock and fear before the young boy continued, "No! No no no,,, I want you to keep calling me David... I'll just ask someone else..."
The few seconds after Davey said those words were gigantic boulders of anxiety, digging away at his spine. Mr. Campbell smiled a bit before nodding and saying "Good, good..."
He then looked at the other kids exiting the mess hall and sneered,
"You wouldn't want to be know as a transgender and a fa-"
