Addison slowly woke up and opened her eyes. Barnabus the bear was smiling at her from the nightstand and just as she smiled back she felt a warm breath on the back of her neck and the weight of an arm draped across her waist as she lay on her side. Very carefully she tried to roll onto her back but Templeton held onto her even tighter and mumbled something before falling asleep again. She checked her watch and noticed how early it was so she snuggled into her pillow and went back to sleep.

Just over an hour later she was awake again. The L.A. sun was pouring in through the window and landing on her face. Suddenly she knew two things. One, she wasn't going to be able to sleep any longer and two, she really had to start closing her curtains if she was going to sleep in.
Templeton still had his arm over her waist only now he was cuddled right up against her with his leg over hers. With the few men Addison had slept with before this would have felt too claustrophobic and she would be dragging herself from the bed, however with Templeton it felt different but as nice as it was they really couldn't stay there all day. She had an appointment to keep.
"Temp we have to move.""Five more minutes" he mumbled before kissing her shoulder.
She smiled and ran her hand down his arm. "Okay but do me a favour and tell the beast he's not getting fed this morning."
She began chuckling as he quickly rolled away from her and jumped out of bed pulling the blankets over his crotch, looking totally mortified. "Addy, I'm so sorry."
Addison got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. "It's okay Temp. No harm, no foul. Just please try to think of something un-sexy to get rid of it by the time I return."
He smiled and slowly shook his head. Most women would have been offended or embarrassed but not Addison. She had taken it all in her stride and for a moment he wondered exactly how many times this had happened to her but he quickly dismissed the thought. He knew exactly what kind of woman his friend was.
She eventually stepped from the bathroom dressed in a robe and with his body now under control he was able to take his turn. When he returned to the bedroom wrapped in a towel he found it empty and the faint smell of coffee seemed to be coming from the kitchen. Digging around in his bag he found a pair of jeans and a shirt so quickly put them on and then made his way to the kitchen. "Do I smell coffee?"
Addison was sitting on the counter with a mug in her hand but gestured to another mug on the counter. "It's instant I'm afraid. My machine broke and I haven't had a chance to buy a new one."
Templeton took a sip and smiled. "Addy this is the best coffee I've had in years."
"Wow, is the coffee in Vietnam that bad?"
He hung his head and stood with his back to the counter. "Everything is bad over there." He turned to look at her. "Can we not talk about it please?"
She gently stroked his hair just like she used to do back in the Orphanage when he was upset. "Of course. Now I hope you're ready to go?" Addy jumped down from the counter and pulled the mug from his hands making him whimper.
"Where are we going so early on a Sunday?" he asked, running his fingers through his damp hair.
Addison picked up a key from the basket on the counter. It was quite old and had a rubber duck on the end. "Recognise this?"
Templeton laughed. "The key, but not the duck. It's the key to the Orphanage side gate."
"Give that man a prize. Yes it is and the duck was the Father's idea of a joke. He gave me the key mentioning something about getting 'ducking fed up' of staying up for me to get back from my shift at the bar." She tossed the key to him and went to find her purse.
