story:when Ryan was a child his mother(Name revealed in first chap) was an alcoholic, she honestly didn't care for Ryan much, after Vlad/Victor left her, she had really no reason to care for Ryan if she didn't care for him, but honestly she thought that putting him in a system would be a hassle, and unbeknownst to Vlad when he was previously with her, is that, she knew about Ryan's half sister named Bridget, and she just didn't tell Ryan, for most reasons because she drank a lot, and would "not" have the time to tell him, so she decided to keep it a secret from Ryan, she'd give Ryan bruises/cuts/Major injuries she taught him to do what she'd neglect for the most part, Ryan usually did all the chores Laundry/Cooking meals for her and himself/washing dishes/general chores/getting groceries, so Ryan from very young basically had all the skills he needed to take care of himself, when he got accepted into Life academy, she was just happy to be rid of him for the most part

After Lexi died he felt distraught and miserable, that he couldn't save her, the students were given the rest of the month off, for repairing some stuff and for people to have some time to relax, and to have them recover from seeing a student die, Matt and Tori honestly needed some time to themselves, then eventually strayed away from Ryan, from what they knew they honestly just wanted to stop hearing Lexi's voice every time they were together, they just wanted away from eachother, mainly Tori and Matt because, Lexi was Matt's girlfriend, and Lexi was Tori's Bestfriend, Ryan unknown about what happened with the others tried to talk to them again, but then Tori broke up with Ryan, and Matt cut ties with Ryan. Ryan didn't know what was going on because Ryan never calls when he's at home, mainly because of his mother, he picks up phone calls, he doesn't make most phone calls at home, usually when he's out or something.
That is it, and this is the pre bit to set the timeline for the book, as it's definitely needed.
