Aquaman

Chapter 14

Arthur leads the Karathen and other sea creatures into the fight, Mera and Althea right behind him. Althea using her powers on some of the soldiers coming her way, a blast from atlantean guards cause Arthur to fall of the beast. The guards advance but are stopped by Mera who tosses them into each other.

"There are too many causalities, we need to stop the fighting now!" She yells "I'll find my father. We must defeat Orm." Althea swims up to them "We can't let them reach the surface." She says. Arthur looks at the both of them "And what if I can't?" "Last time he was in his element. This time make him fight in yours." Mera says.

Both she and Arthur stare at each other before she decides to make the move, she pulls Arthur close and seals their lips with a kiss. Althea is quick to cover her eyes but peeks behind her fingers "Finally. Grownups take forever." Arthur and Mera both laugh "So what was the plan again?" Arthur asks, "The plan is to not get killed." Mera tells the both of them before hopping back onto the Orca.

"Right...don't get killed." Althea raises an eyebrow "Think you can do that?" "Uh..yes squirt. I've managed to survive for this long." Arthur gets on one of the seahorses with Althea getting on behind him "Stay close." He instructs, the girl nods and the both head off.

Arthur raises his trident and commands the trench to advance, Althea tightens her grip around him at this to which he reassures her that they won't harm her "Not under my command, that is." Althea gave him an incredulous look at that. 

The princess of the fishermen kingdom witnessed this "The trench! He commands the trench!" She informed Orm "Impossible!" Out of anger he advances towards his half older brother, Arthur turns around and gives Althea a look. She nods and makes a break for the surface.

Arthur and Orm clash with each other then chase each other to the surface, they both jump out of the water and land on the top of one of the ships. Arthur sees Althea towards the end of it, unspoken words are said between them 'Stay out of it. No matter what happens.' This time Althea nods and steps back.

Arthur holds the trident out "The trident doesn't change what you are." Orm said "A half breed bastard." Both men circle each other "Atlantis will never except the two of you as king and princess." He says referring to Althea.

"Well, then by bloodshed.." Arthur gets into a fighting stance "Do the gods make known their will." Orm charges in anger and delivers the first blow, with Arthur blocking his moves. Althea watches in horror along with Mera and Vulko from another ship as the brothers seemingly try to kill the other.

Orm hits Arthur back and he stops himself from hitting the fan, he turns back and sees his daughter looking at him worriedly. He winks at her which makes her confused, Arthur draws his trident causing Orm to get ready. He then twirls the trident around creating a shield of water, Vulko and Althea watch with surprise as they both knew that move.

Orm watched confused before yelling in anger and attempting to hit Arthur but was blown back from the force. He was disoriented before charging again, Arthur throws the trident knocking Orm back again. Arthur catches the trident in the air and manages to break Orm's trident into pieces before holding the end of the trident to his neck.

Althea holds her breath at this, 'No..dad isn't a killer.' She thinks, "Finish it." Orm demanded "Yield the throne." Arthur ordered "Mercy is not our way." "Maybe you haven't noticed brother.." Arthur steps back and lowers his weapon "But I'm not one of you."

"Do it!" Orm shouts, he takes off his helmet and tosses it to the side "Kill me!" "No!" The shout causes everyone to freeze. Orm turns his head and sees Atlanna walking towards them "That is enough killing."

Orm couldn't believe it "Mother?" He whispers uncertain if she was actually there "Oh my son." Atlanna pulls him into a hug. Vulko watches shocked "It's a long story." Mara says "I'll tell ya later."

Orm pulls away from the hug "I..I don't understand. I thought we-" "I know." Atlanna gently interrupts him "Arthur saved me." "..you're with him?" She nods and he looks down, almost betrayed. Atlanna lifted his head gently "You are both my children and I love you both so much. But you have been misguided."

"Your father taught you that there were two worlds but he was wrong. Land and the sea. But they are one." Orm looks down in shame. Heavy footsteps from guards being lead by Vulko caught their attentions, Atlanna lifts Orm up onto his feet.

Vulko bows down in front of Atlanna "My queen." Everyone else bows down and Atlanna nods in acknowledgement. "Take him." Vulko instructs "But make sure he has a nice view." Orm chuckles at this, before he was lead away Arthur steps towards him "When you're ready, let's talk." He says.

Orm nods before he disappears under the sea. Mera steps up and motions to Arthur "I give you King Arthur of Atlantis." She turns around and smiles at Althea "And Princess Althea of Atlantis." Althea runs over to the two of them and tackles Arthur in a hug "Whoa! Easy there squirt." He chuckles.

Althea smiles at him as everyone is chanting in the background "I'm just glad you're ok." She says, "Me too." Arthur replied. He turns to Mera "So..what do I do now?" "Be their king." She states.

"Oh this is gonna be fun." He kisses the top of Mera's head before raising the trident in the air with a yell. Everyone around them cheers, Althea joins Mera and Arthur. They did it, they won.

But this story was far from over.
