It didn't matter if they were a kook or a pogue, she dated them, and loved them, and felt heartbroken when they felt. She even got attached to flings and hook-ups. Maeve Thompson loved everyone, and everyone loved Maeve Thompson.

Xylina was the complete opposite. She didn't fall in love. She was a fighter, and she would always be a fighter. That's why she took her chance to be a kook when it came. She got through life by pushing through everyone else, and working to get what she wanted, no matter who she hurt. It just so happened to be the pogues this time. One day she moved to the other side of the island with her family and never looked back. She never talked to the pogues after that. She hardly even spared a glance in their direction. It wasn't because she didn't miss them, she just didn't want to be stuck as a pogue for the rest of her life.

Nico wasn't much like his sister. He was kind to everyone. He took any chance he had at helping someone. He tried to stay in contact with the pogues, but he was shut out every time he tried. They thought he betrayed them, just like his sister did, but the truth was that he had no choice. He didn't want to be a kook, he didn't choose to be a kook. It was decided for him.

Now their past clashes with the present as they help John B avenge his father. Their secrets won't stay hidden long now that they've been reunited. It's only a matter of time before one of them snaps and spills everything.
