Chapter 15: Some Great Last Words

Your pov

"Leo I lo-" Was the last thing I was able to say. Those were some amazing last words y'know. I felt Leo trying to pull me out and I tried grasping on to him, but all of a sudden he let go. I felt tears running down my face, causing sand to stick to me. 

I remembered one day at camp Leo was making fun of me because I out a bunch  of syrup on my waffles (They were blue of course). "Y/n you're drowning your waffles!!" He laughed.

"Hey I can't drown and neither can my waffles" A couple a minutes later my waffles were soggy and I refused to eat them. 

"I think my waffles drowned" I pouted.

So it turned out that my waffles could drown. And so could I.

A daughter of Poseidon dies by drowning. Ironic.

I felt the pressure of the sand and my lungs burned for oxygen.

I breathed in, not a good idea. I breathed in sand which led me to coughing. My vision started to darken and then I saw nothing.

"Where am I?" 

"Hello Y/n Jackson" an oily voice said. 

I spun around to face a pale man with jet black hair. "Hades?"

"Welcome to the Underworld"

"D-did I die?" 

He didn't answer. "You know, you are a lot like me"

"Excuse me? How?"

"Well take a look in the mirror notice anything?" He handed me a mirror that wasn't in his hand before.

"Umm I have black streaks in my hair and my eyes are speckled with green?"

"Not that, look deeper."

I resisted rolling my eyes at the God of the Underworld. I looked closer and all of a sudden the mirror became vivid, darkening the already dark colors and brightening the bright ones. 

"My eye bags are dark?"

"NO! Look closer"

I sighed and looked closer, but I wasn't in the Underworld anymore. I was seeing myself as someone else. My eyes were vacant which wasn't surprising since I wasn't in my body, but it came to me that I was somewhere else. It was dark and quiet and I could feel darkness radiating off of me. "W-Where am I?"

Silence. I looked closer at the details of the area, "W-what that doesn't make sense. Why? What happened?!"

 A flash took me to a different area. It was a battlefield. 

"FOR Y/N!" Percy yelled and a bunch of other campers chorused after him. Percy ran into battle. I love you n/n and I'm sorry I left you, but it's better me then you." He whispered to himself. The vision had a little time skip to when Percy was the last one standing against a giant. 

"NO!! PERCY!"  It was suicide to try and kill a giant by yourself.

All I heard was an ear piercing scream coming from behind me. "NOO PERCY!" The girl ran past me, it was me. Another flash

I was in a shack. "LEO!!" An eerily familiar voice screamed.

I was kneeling over a body...Leo.

"NO! WHAT HAPPENED?! WHAT IS THIS?! I DEMAND ANSWERS!" Another blinding light and I was facing Hades again. 

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" I yelled.

"It's the future. It's not set in stone, but it can happen. So you may choose, stay here with me and become immortal, not having to live through all of your pain that will be coming, and although it may not be that I promise that there is pain coming, or go on living with your friends? And choose quickly your time is running out"

"I-I-I choose to stay alive"

"Ok then. See you soon"

"I hope not"

Next thing I knew I started coughing up sand and trust me it was not a nice feeling.

A familiar pair of arms wrapped around me, "Y/n" sobbed. 

I had a bad feeling, but I didn't remember anything before blacking out. (So you don't remember your encounter with Hades). 

"Guys I'm okay" I said, everyone the rest of the 10 engulfed me in a hug....except for Will. He stood in the corner looking annoyed and awkward. 

"Can we focus?" The son of Apollo asked.

This would probably be the only time that I agreed with Solace, "Yeah guys we still got to rescue the real damsel in distress." 

A/N: Sorry I took so long to update, I'm on vacation in St. Thomas, but I'm flying back to Miami on Sunday....hopefully. There's a tropical storm coming so that may change, but who knows. Don't forget to comment and vote. Thanks for reading!!
