Mahito POV

"That took longer than expected" said Hanami.

"Yeah~I just hope Y/n-chan wasn't lonely without us" I said as I put my hands behind my head.

"I doubt that. She did say that she wanted to catch up on her reading"

"Ehhh~ Is that so?"

"Mahito... Have you decided to confess to her yet?"

"To be honest I'm a bit nervous. I wanted to tell her today actually but I don't know"

"Just try. You won't be disappointed"

"Something tells me you're hiding something"

"I'm going for a walk" said Hanami and disappeared.

"Ma-kun! You took long!" she tackled me in a hug.

"Aww ~you missed me?" she pouted.

"What's wrong Y/n-chan? You're puffing out your cheeks more than usual"

"I read a book and every chapter was making me lonely!" she broke the hug to fold her arms over her chest.

".... So you read a romantic book?" she nodded. We sat down on the sand and watched the waves.

"Ne Ma-kun?"

"Huh?"

"I think.... the love of my life got stuck in a condom...."

I burst out laughing till tears came out. She was so serious when she said it.

"It's not funny Ma-kun. I don't wanna be single anymore!"

"Then be with me" I said seriously.

"Really? Do you even like me or-"

"I like you" I cut her off. "Be my girlfriend, Y/n" I said without honorifics.

She was quiet for a few seconds then she suddenly jumped on me for a hug.

"I thought you weren't interested in me"

"So that means you like me?"

"Of course I do. Only Hanami knows"
