On the fourth night of Jude's exile, Cardan paced around his room in an agitated manner.

"Roach, why do you think she has not returned?" Cardan asked.

"You did exile her," Roach said pointedly, still not quiet sure how Jude was supposed to come back.

"I did," Cardan acknowledged, "but she has the power to undo it! Why has she not come back?"

Roach shrugs, "Maybe she is angry at you? People do that sometimes, ignore you when they are angry."

Cardan looked at Roach, eyes puzzled. Jude has always been somewhat of an enigma to Cardan. A terrifying enigma, but an enigma nonetheless.

Roach may be right, Cardan thought.

And so, he walked to his desk, pulled out some stationery and started another letter.
