Y/n laid on their back enjoying the peace and quiet, wait it's to quiet they thought, they sat up and looked around till they saw their palisman (palisman name) flying to them, they got up and their palisman landed on their shoulder.
" hey (palisman name), it's to quiet out here what's going on " they asked the palisman, the palisman chirped in response
They would sigh, when they heard their name being called
"Y/N, Y/N WAKE UP!" The voice yelled, you recognized your mother's voice before you woke with a start
"Finally your up, your going to be late for school" your mother snapped at you, you saw your mothers hair was up in a bun that was rare unless your mother was having a her day which was also rare.
Your mother took her (hair color) out of her bun, you looked very similar to your mother same hair same eyes and same attitude
You blinked the sleep out of your eyes and leaped out of bed, your mother left the room as you searched for your school uniform, you found it you drew a circle in the air and your uniform was on you, you threw your pajamas in the dirty clothes basket before headed down stairs.
On your way down your palisman (palisman name) landed on your shoulder
"Morning (palisman name)" you greeted your palisman
You got down the stairs and went to the kitchen you found a plate of griffin eggs and some apple blood with a note
The note read "had to get to work early today have a good new semester" - love mom.
You sighed and ate your food your parents where good parents but they did sometimes be very controlling, once at age 7 you told your dad you liked a boy and he said "your to smart for a boy you need to become the head witch of the bard coven before you can do that"
They also tried picking your friends for you but since you moved up some grades you had to leave them behind to be honest you never liked them...
The only friends your parents did not pick were Ed and Em blight they are your best friends
You finished your food and went outside got on your staff and flew to school.

You got to school and saw the same old faces you did ever time you came ofc
Sometimes you wished something exciting would happen but as usual it's just another day
You walked past everyone and went straight to your locker opening it and getter your violin as you closed your locker and turned around you nearly jumped out of your skin to see Ed and em standing behind you
"GEEZ, don't sneak up on me like that" you told the twins
They were both laughing but not loud enough to make people look
"Sorry there, we just wanted to say hi before we went to cl- " just as em was about to finish her words the bell rang
Well that was right on time you thought
"Dang, anywho see you at lunch Y/n" Ed and Em said before walking away
You started walking toward your class room got their and took your seat
Right as everyone got there the teacher started to speak " good morning class welcome to a new semester at hexside" the teacher said threw gridded teeth
You chuckles bit before the teacher started speaking again
" in other news principal Bump has decided to make the new Semester start with a bang" the teacher said clapping her hands together
You thought what could principal Bump have in mind
The teacher started speaking again " principal Bump decided to have the best student in all 9 main covens in hexside preform for the emperors coven" the teacher said louder
Your eyes widened a bit the emperors coven! Omg
The teacher continues " principal Bump will announce which students from each coven will attend later today"
When the teacher finished speaking about the performance you tired to think who would be the one from your coven Course chosen, y/n knew they were strong but not the strongest bard student right?
As the class ended the teacher gave you a Pleasant smile before you left the class room
You went to your locker and put your violin back in their and went to lunch
There you saw Ed and Em at your usual lunch spot you walked over to them
"Hey guys" you said before sitting down
"Hey!" Both the twins said back
"So who you you guys think will get to be in the pre-formants for each of the main covens" em asked looking between me and ed
" I think that Gus dude will get it for the illusions coven he is a good illusionist" you said truthfully
"Same, what about the bards who do y'all think will get it?" Ed asked looking at you
Then Em joined "I think it's going to be the one and only y/n y/l"
"I really doubt t-that I'm no where near the best bard witch" you said hoping to change their minds
"Sureee" they both said
You and the twins continued to talk before principal Bump came on the speaker
"Hello students of hexside it's time for me to name the witch's who will be preforming for each of the 9 main covens!" The students all yelled with excitement but you stayed quiet very nervous
Bump named all the witch for the covens he only had the bard coven and the potions coven left
"For the potions coven Emily Stalks will be the preforming witch" the students all yelled congratulations
Next principal Bump got to the bard coven your body started shaking
"For the bard coven the witch will be...."
You where shaking even more
"Y/N Y/L"
The students all yelled congrats and you sat there while Em and Ed kept saying told you
"Oh no this will be bad."
