Elsie

I was reporting from the Palace Ballroom.

"Good morning. It's been almost a week since the Wedding, and busy workers are setting up for Genovia's grand day. The coronation of a new Queen. Somewhere in the Palace, Princess Mia's getting ready for the Ceremony that will change her life forever."

Mia

I was sitting on the throne in my dressing gown.

"So, what do you say, Fat Louie? You think I'll make a good Queen?"

Nicholas walked in.

"Indeed you will."

I sat up with a smile.

"If I may be so bold, I would like an audience with Your Highness."

"Uh..."

I gestured for Nicholas to approach the throne.

Fat Louie watched from his velvet cushion.

"What is your dilemma, young man?"

"You are, in fact."

He kneeled down in his smart blue suit.

"I am in love with the Queen-to-be, and I am inquiring if she loves me, too."

"Do you have a chicken for my table?"

"No, no. My Kitchen is out of chickens."

"Ah... Hmm."

Nicholas got up as I skipped off the throne and threw myself into his arms.

We hugged delightedly.

He drew back and gazed down at me.

"Mia."

I kissed him tenderly on the mouth, sliding my arms around his neck and pulling him close.

Nicholas kissed me back.

My foot lifted off the floor, signaling my enjoyment.

Nicholas lifted me up.

Both of my slippers fell off.

The doors to the throne room closed.

Andrew

"Company, attention!" It was Captain Kip Kelly.

"Forward march!" He ordered.

"Left, right, left! Left, right, left!"

In the Palace Ballroom, the Coronation Ceremony has begun.

"Left, right, left! Left, right, left!"

Lady Elissa and me shared a cozy smile.

The Royal guards marched in formation to the center of the room.

"Left, left, left, right, left. Left, left, left, right, left."

Fat Louie and Maurice were both wearing little crowns.

"Left, left. Company, halt!"

Lilly

Kip was standing with me.

"I heard you're going back to Berkeley to finish up Graduate school." Kip told me.

"You heard right."

"May I call you in California?"

"I think I can hear you without a phone, but, uh..."

I slipped my cell number into Kip's uniform.

Security guard, Shades shifted Lionel out of the way as he received a radio message.

"The Sparrow is taking off."

"The Eagle is flying for the last time." Charlotte announced.

Mia

The Ballroom was decorated with Ceremonial banners and flowers.

Grandma and me appeared at opposite sides of the upper Balcony.

We stood facing each other for a moment before making our way down separate sides of the double staircase which is lined with Genovian French horn players.

Grandma came down the left side wearing a floor length green-gold dress with a long matching jacket.

The crown of Genovia was on her head.

I looked radiate in my stiff white bouqueted gown with a full skirt and a sleeveless trailing cape with a long train.

Dressed in matching pink silk, Brigitte and Brigitta followed me down the stairs, holding my train.

At the bottom, the archBishop led me to a gold throne, which is on a raised platform before taking his place by Grandma, who stood beside the platform.

Nicholas and Charlotte watched me sweep back my silk lined cape and sit down on the throne.

"She looks beautiful." Nicholas complimented.

"They both do." Charlotte gave her input, breaking up.

Mom and Patrick are among the other dignities who watched the Archbishop lift the crown off Grandma's head.

He gently settled it onto mine.

"Will you solemnly promise and swear to govern the people of Genovia according to the statues in Parliament agreed on and the respective laws and custom of the same? Will you, in your power, cause law and justice and mercy to be executed in all judgments?"

"I solemnly promise so to do."

Joe took his place with Grandma who is now wearing a modest gold crown.

"Genovia

The land I call my own."

I stood up, holding my orb and Spector.

I smiled at Lilly.

I looked over at Nicholas and gave him a little wink.

"From the green, clear..."

"Attention!" It was Captain Kip Kelly.

"From blossoming pear trees."

Prime Minster Motaz sang vigorously with the choir.

"Magnificent her Mountains and seas."

The two rows of guards raised their swords for me to walk under.

"Genovia, Genovia."

Everybody joined in with the national anthem as I walked under the arch of swords.

"You're noble, proud and brave

Including Lionel, Brigitte, Brigitta, Andrew, Lady Elissa, members of Parliament, Nicholas, Charlotte, Lilly, Elsie, Shades, and the Majordomo.

"Genovia, Genovia

Genovia, Genovia

Forever will your banner wave!"

Joe and Grandma smiled as I emerged from the arch of swords.

Majordomo banged his staff.

"Presenting Her Majesty, Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi-Jacoby, Queen of Genovia."

I closed my eyes for a moment, hardly able to believe it.

I lifted my head regally and smiled.

Andrew

Joe and Clarisse smiled as Mia emerged from the arch of swords.

Majordomo banged his staff.

"Presenting Her Majesty, Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi-Jacoby, Queen of Genovia."

Mia closed her eyes for a moment, hardly able to believe it.

She lifted her head regally and smiled.
