The times have changed yet you remain stagnant
Frozen in time with your own lack of understanding and poor decisions
Leaving us all to suffer in your wake
All because you want to refuse change for your profit's sake
You benefit off of us but fail to cement anything useful in our heads
You pile on the useless tack to our minds
For years and years
You don't even teach us how to live in this world
You act as if it will adapt to us
But you know it won't
You're here for your pay
You only hold us so near to fail us
You steer clear of the real information we need to know
You push this flow of work that is otherwise nulled
We feel like failures because we can't do one thing.
You scar us from ever attempting whatever it may be
Closing our minds so we only look straight
But that won't get you anywhere
The world is full of twisted roads and obstacles
There isn't one straight path to lead you to where you want to go
You need to break out of your routine and figure out how you will get where you want to be
How you will overcome those twists
How you will combat the failure the superiors put on you
How you will combat your own self negativity
This is the stuff they need to teach us among others
We've realized before them that they're outdated
We have so much potential that is wasted because you burn us out like candles
We have so much to bring forth but you bore us with the unnecessary baggage
It's not the fault of the people you tell to teach us
Look at yourself and ask who the real failure is
Take a look in the mirror and tell yourself how you made our lives any easier
Take a look in the mirror and tell yourself how many people were robbed because of you
I just want you to ponder on that thought
Realize our lives are all sonder
We aren't the problem
We aren't just lazy or moronic
We're burned out
We're unmotivated
We have our own problems that you contribute 75% of
How much of this will we even use
Not all of it
I already forgot about most of it
All you make me wonder and think about is what's the point
At least I'm not caught in your mess of ranking
Because I know myself that some of it doesn't matter
But you brainwash so many into thinking it does
The world's changing
But you're still the same
How about you adapt to the current life and fix it yourself
The world will only work better if you aren't so ill-advised and are willing to take steps in the right direction
But you won't
And that's why you're failing us
