We fought like monsters. Hundreds of curses fell on the battlefield. So did dozens of sorcerers. Adalwolf was literally eating some of our sorcerers. This made me mad and sad at the same time. Both because it appeared as if we stood virtually no chance of victory. Nonetheless, we fought on, slaying a ton of curses. However, we weren't even able to put a scratch on Adalwolf. Eventually, only a couple of 9-hearted curses and Adalwolf remained on the opposing side. And on our side stood the three of us, Aquil, and about a dozen other sorcerers. Even though it seemed as if the battle was almost at an end, we knew that it had truly just begun.
