Practice had ended, and Kageyama was the first to change and was the first to leave. He was desperate to be home as he knew his father wouldn't be home. Putting in his earbuds, he listened to music as he walked home.
His father wasn't home, he was on a business trip, which he was grateful for. His big sister, Miwa was at her college and only came to visit some weekends. He missed her of course, but he liked being alone, well not always. Especially when he was in his feelings.
He set his bag down in his room and went back to the living to watch movies to distract himself from feeling sad.
Hinatas words really did hurt him, even though it wasn't the first time Hinata said something like that about him.
He eventually ended up falling asleep sometime during the movie.
