End of last chapter:
I left John B and Sarah without looking back. I didn't want to know if they had seen Rafe and my conversation. Instead I decided to find Pope and JJ. I had enough of the Cameron's today, and enough of Rafe's psycho asshole side forever.

FAST FORWARD IN TIME:
This is after John B. and Wards "fishing trip" when Ward tried to kill him and John B found out Ward murdered his father. John B freaked out and the Pogues have been looking for him.

Standing on the HMS Pogue in front of Tanneyhill felt weird. Like being in two different worlds at once. No matter how weird it was, I was sure we were supposed to be here. John B was absolutely MIA and not stable enough to make good decisions. If he didn't come here for Sarah, he might have come here for Ward, and who knew what he would do to that son of a bitch after the day he had.

"So what now? We just go up to the front door and ask 'hey have you seen John B'?" JJ asked skeptically.

"Look he lives at Tanneyhill now. It's plausible. We can play dumb" I responded. I was beginning to get annoyed. This was just about the only option we had to find him and everyone was questioning me. We had big things coming up with the gold and we couldn't afford to lose focus now.

Again I was met with questions and snide remarks about how this wouldn't work. I could feel that we were all on edge.

"Look, I've never seen John B like that. We should honestly be going to the cops." I said.

"The cops?" Questioned JJ.
"And say what Ken? 'We're worried about our friend because he's going on a rampage because he thinks Ward killed big John?' They aren't gonna believe us!"

Pope grabbed the binoculars and looked through the windows of Tanneyhill, announcing that he saw Ward, alive and well.

"He seems fine to me, let's go home." Pope said quickly. I whipped my head to look at him in disbelief.

He started to explain how important tomorrow was with his scholarship and I could feel my blood boiling. After all we had been through in the past few days, he was more worried about his beauty sleep than John B.

We began one of the worst arguments Pope and I have ever had. He was yelling about how we hadn't been home and he needed this scholarship while I was yelling about the importance of sticking together. I could tell our lack of sleep was only fueling our anger.

Then Pope was yelling at me about how I ditched them my Kook year. Our anger reached a breaking point as we began shoving each other. JJ broke up the fight but I was done.

"I'm getting out of here. Have fun at your interview." I said coldly as I hopped off the boat and onto the Tanneyhill dock.

JJ called after me but I didn't listen. I just kept walking until I heard him and Pope drive away. I didn't allow myself to look back and I didn't allow myself to cry. As I got closer to my house I slowed down more. Could I really go home? I had been gone for three days and my parents were going to be livid. Not to mention our last interaction was not a good one.

I took a detour to give myself more time to think. I paused as I saw a light on at the Glistens. I knew they weren't home and were out on vacation, so why were the lights on? I let curiosity get the best of me and walked to the porch where I saw Rafe Cameron sitting and smoking a joint.
