The Nanny

Chapter 13

Jughead panics, wondering what's he gonna say to the kids when they see him at Betty's room. Betty gets up and opens the room slowly and lets the twins in. Marcus and Max stop when they see Jughead.

Marcus: Dad? What are you doing here?

J: I... I came here to talk to Betty about something important. What are you guys doing here?

Max: We came to spend some time with Betty.

J: It's late, boys. It's time for your sleep. Go back to your room. You can spend time with Betty tomorrow.

Max: But dad-

J: No buts. Come on.

Jughead leads the twins out of the room.

J: You guys go. I'm coming.

Jughead turns around and walk towards to Betty. He kisses her one last time before leaving. She giggles and kisses him back. Then he leaves by saying "Good night". After she closes the door and smiles to herself. She then falls on the bed and soon she drifts off to sleep, still smiling. Meanwhile, Jughead gets the twins to sleep and goes back to his bedroom. He was still mesmerized by her soft lips, her touch. He wish he could be in that forever. The next day, Betty gets up and gets dressed. She still couldn't get the smile off her face. She gets dressed.

As usual, Betty wakes up the twins and gets them dressed up for school. While the kids were doing some last minute things, Betty takes the courage to go to Jughead's room. She knows that he hasn't left his room yet. She stops when she reaches the door knob. She knocks on the door but no answer. She knocks again but still no answer. She hasn't been in his room yet. She slowly opens the door and steps in. She closes the door. It was awesome, she thinks to herself. The room was covered with golden lights. She slowly steps forward and observes the room. There were some pictures of Jughead, him with the kids, with Archie and Veronica, one with FP. What weird was that there were so photos of Brenda, not in his room, nowhere in the whole house. Suddenly she hears the bathroom door open so she freezes in her place.

J: Snooping is not a great habit, Ms. Cooper.

Betty turns around quickly when she hears his voice. He was looking smoking hot. She just had a towel wrapped around his waist and nothing else.

B: Umm... I-I wasn't snooping.

She stumbles. Jughead starts to come close to her.

J: Oh really? Because I can see something else.

He wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her closer. She gasps and puts her hands on his chest and slowly wraps them around his neck. She couldn't resist a so she crashes her lips with his. He smiles in the kiss. They continue until they were out of breath. They put their foreheads together. They were enjoying the moment when suddenly someone knocks. Betty tries to pulls away but Jughead doesn't loosen his grips.

J: Who is it?

He yells.

S: Baby, it's me, Sophia. I wanted to call you for breakfast.

Jughead rolls his eyes and yells.

J: I'll be out in 10 minutes.

Then Sophia leaves and Jughead looks back at Betty. They almost got lost in each other's eyes but Betty speaks up.

B: Okay now, leave me. They're calling you.

J: I told them 10 minutes. So don't worry.

B: Yeah, but Marcus and Max will start looking for me.

J: Ugh!!

B: By the way...

Betty smirks and Jughead also smirks looking at her.

B: You look hot.

J: Oh really? Well, not more than you.

He kisses her one last time and lets her go. She quickly runs to leave and blows a kiss at him before closing the door, Jughead smiles. Betty goes to the breakfast table where everyone was, even Sophia, too. Betty sits on one of the chairs. Soon, Jughead joins them and they start eating.

S: So, I was thinking about the wedding. We should start preparing for it.

Archie almost chokes his food. Sophia looks at him, confused.

S: And... if you don't mind, Jug, I want Betty as my personal assistant till the wedding.

This time, Betty almost chokes her food. Jughead quickly gives her water. Betty thanks him and drinks the water. She looks at Sophia.

S: So, Juggie... what do you say?

Jughead feels disgusted at the nickname and then looks at Betty. Betty looks at him, waiting for his answer.

J: Uh... I don't know. I mean, it's Betty's choice.

S: Well then, it's decided, right Betty? I don't take no for answer.

Then Sophia gives her a devil smirk but Betty gets back to her food, ignoring her. The day went like always. At night, it was 11 pm so everyone was in their rooms, some of them probably sleeping. Betty was laying on her bed and scrolling through her phone when she gets a text from Jughead.

Jughead

Come to my study room. I need to talk to you about something.

Betty

Ok.

Betty goes to the study room and knocks.

J: Come in!

Jughead shouts so Betty enters and sees Jughead looking out the window. She wasn't really mad at him because of the morning scene. She goes up to him and hugs him from behind. He then takes her hand and pulls her in front of him so her back is facing him. He wraps his arms around her from behind. They both enjoy the peaceful silence until Jughead speaks.

J: I actually wanted to ask you something.

B: What?

J: I was nominated for the "Best Businessman" award.

B: That's amazing, Jug!

Betty turns around to look at him.

J: Yes... And I've go to the award show with my partner.

B: Oh...

Betty's smile fades, wondering that Sophia will go with him. She looks down.

J: Do you want to go with me?

B: What?

She looks up at him, surprised.

B: What about Sophia?

J: I asked her but she said she's busy so she can't go with me so... I want you to go with me. So will you?

B: Of course! I'll be honored.

Jughead smiles widely and kisses her.
