Ghostbur's POV
Ghostbur gasped, clutching his chest with a clammy hand. His eyes flew open, and he lay there, staring at the sky for a good few minutes, before sitting up.
As soon as he did, he felt a splitting headache, which was strange for him. After all, he never felt pain as a ghost unless it was due to water.
He quickly pulled out some blue, and watched it bleed into his hands, causing the tips of his fingers to turn a rather bright blue color. This never happened before.
He carefully got up, and unconsciously hopped, expecting himself to float.
However, that didn't happen today, and he just face planted onto the ground again.
'Oh... My face hurts. I don't think it's done that before.'
Ghostbur winced, carefully placing a hand on his cheek, and getting up again.
Maybe he was just having a bad day, or his ghostly powers weren't working for some reason.
He carefully walked up to a tree, and walked right into it, causing him to fall back onto his knees, for what seemed like the hundredth time.
'What in the world is happening..? Why can't I activate my ghost state? Oh no... will I have to WALK?!'
Ghostbur sat there, eyes about to cry at the prospect of having to exert physical energy to travel. He'd watched Tommy and the other members walk miles and miles on end, and they always seemed to be so exhausted.
Before he could collapse in exhaustion, he heard a voice from behind him, making him jump.
"Erm...Who are you?"
Ghostbur turned around with wide eyes, about to drop kick the person who made him nearly die a fourth time from a heart attack.
"Who in the-" Ghostbur was cut off by the figure, (who he couldn't see due to the blinding sun), "WILBUR?!"
Ghostbur sighed, quickly starting to correct them.
"Sorry, but I'm not Alivebur, call me Ghostbur!"
He finally was able to distinguish something.
The first thing he saw was a puckering scar across the other's face, reaching from his forehead all the way to his chin. Quackity wore a long-sleeved button-up in the middle of a desert, which was overlapped with straps and a jacket as well.
How was Quackity not dying of heat stroke?
The said man was currently wide-eyed, looking at Ghostbur with such intensity that Ghostbur was worried if he had grown another head, or merged with Friend to become a sheep-hybrid ghost. He carefully patted his head, just in case.
Ghostbur slowly tried to walk forward, but fell face forwards into the sand. After struggling (again), to walk, he finally stood up and whispered to Quackity a simple sentence.
"Help me."
A/N: I'm so sorry for the rushed chapter, and the late update! I forgot to work on it since school is starting soon and all.... :(
