The girl stared at the special monitor that Monokuma had set up for her. As she watched the horror of Sayaka's murder unfold before her, she couldn't help but sigh. The mastermind is indeed cruel in their ways of causing discord among the students.

The trial was also quite chaotic. It's more of a childish war between teenagers as they throw accusations back and forth. The worst part was that they made no basis for arguments and just placed the blame on others in their panic. Thankfully, the goddess known as Kyoko Kirigiri was able to calm down the students and helped Makoto Naegi guide them towards the truth.

As Leon's execution played on the screen, the student checked her E-Handbook. Because of certain circumstances, the killing game's rules and regulations apply to her differently, thus creating quite the dilemma.

She bit her lip as she considered her next move. In order to survive her imprisonment in this cursed school, no detail must be overlooked. Everything must go according to her plans, otherwise she won't even  last a second out there. If she played her cards right, not only could she adapt to her current situation, but also find a way to escape the abandoned academy.

And maybe, just maybe, she might be able figure out the mastermind's identity too.

After all, she had made some plausible theories so far on who's the puppeteer behind the mascot bear. With that, she steered her wheelchair to the staircase  leading to the first floor of the school.

Monokuma did mention that the second floor is going to be opened soon.

And soon, she would have to meet the students of this prestigious school.

A/N: First of all, the image above is a visual for what my OC looks like. Now, I am aware that some people get triggered by Gacha because of certain things the community has done. Please note that the reason I used Gacha is that the app is quite useful in helping me to design characters I have in mind, as drawing is not my strong suit. If anyone could draw my OC out, if this story ever gets attention, then I would appreciate it greatly.

Next, I am just a beginner writer, so I don't mind any criticism regarding my work. As long as you don't simply label it bad writing with no reason, then any comments about the fanfic's writing are acceptable.

Other than that, thanks for reading A Reason to Care! Updates are slow and might only come out monthly, but I promise not to abandon it halfway.
