Chapter III, Part-II of HISTORY OF ELYSIA
It was the beginning of a war in Elysia; an unspeakable blood bath. Thousands of fairies were massacred, their wings were stripped away and their powers drained. The witches showed no mercy to the fairy kind who let them inside their home and took care of them as family. The witches showed the consequences of blood-lust and the insatiable desire for power.
The fairies no longer remained quiet and tolerant.
There was an uprising. The fairies stood together in unison, rebelling against the witches, driving them away and reclaiming their lands. But there was never a happy ending—to this day, Elysia suffers the consequences of witches' curse which never fully faded. All the resident fairies lost their powers, they were divided, their courts separated and walls built within.
That is, until the royal court found a way to save them. Every year they held the Annual Court Fest to help determine the spirit butterfly and rejoice them with their people. This way magic flourished, and the people lived in peace and without fear of the bloody witches.
