Ayyy first suggestion by this lovely person! :D
I've never really done a character x reader before so bare with me please 
Jacks wife doesn't exist in this oneshot (no more wife 😔)
Anyway hope you enjoy the first story in this book!

Jack's POV
I was sitting down in the kitchen eating my breakfast, 'it's always good to have breakfast to start your day! it gives you enough energy to get going and do what you have to do.' I told myself which made me smile, i get up from my seat heading towards the sink to wash my dish, when i was done putting the wet dish away i get a text from y/n asking if i wanted to do something fun today, of course i said yes who would say no to a fun day with a friend! After me and y/n were done chatting about where we were going i went to my room to get dressed, we were going to a carnival that was in town for the day,  y/n said it would be lots of fun if we went together! i smiled just thinking about all the fun games and rides they must have, i already know today is going to be a good day.

Y/n's POV
I sigh "what to wear. . .what to wear. . ." i whisper to myself, i should wear something comfortable yet suitable for a carnival...then again today is going to be important. I groan giving up on the whole 'wear something suitable' situation and just putting at least something on, i head to the kitchen and grab a quick snack to eat till Jack arrived, I went outside and waited for my friend to pull up in his car.

Nobody's POV
When Jack pulled up to y/n's house they got into the car and drove off to the carnival to have their fun, there was barely any parking spots in the parking lot it seemed that this carnival was very popular but at the same time it wasn't unexpected since their town was a fairly calm place with only a few attractions. Jack and y/n get out of the car after they found a spot somewhere on the very end of the parking lot, when the two friends walk into the carnival they were surprised on how many attractions there were, there was so many attractions all the way from roller coasters to simple games like whack a mole and balloon darts.

The two smiled as they started to walk around deciding what games they should do first. "We can start off with the smaller ones first and then work our way up to the roller coasters if you want" Jack said to y/n with a big smile on his face, y/n laughed and replied to the taller male, "yeah we can do that!" as y/n said replied the two searched for a small game they can play first. Time went by as the two friends played the smaller games and worked their way up to the bigger attractions "That was fun!" y/n said to the taller male with black wavy hair, "Wait till we get to the roller coasters" Jack smiled as they walked to the very back of the carnival where all the bigger rides are at.

Y/n's pov
Me and Jack started to head to the back of the carnival where all the bigger attractions are held, we both decided we were going to the Ferris wheel after we had done everything else in the park, the only reason why i wanted to go to the Ferris wheel was because i had feelings for the taller male and i don't think he has noticed yet or if he feels the same way...i hope nothing goes wrong when the time comes to confess to him after all these years. Me and Jack headed to the last roller coaster they had at the carnival, we got seated in the middle of the roller coaster and got strapped in, the workers there went down the carts making sure all the seats are good to go, once they got done they started up the roller coaster making the carts go slow at first and started to speed up after they were at the top of the hill, they sped down the hill making the ride go faster then it was before, you could hear screams of joy and fear in the carts as they swerved and went upside down.

After the ride was over the two were worn out the last ride really took their energy out, luckily for them that was the last roller coaster and it was now time for them to take a breather on the Ferris wheel, y/n was nervous and even a bit scared about what will happen when they tell Jack how they felt, would he say he likes them back?? would he kindly decline and still be friends or would their friendship come to a end..all these thoughts clogged y/n's mind but later on they shook it off and tried to build up their confidence to tell the taller male how they felt.
"You ready to get on the last ride?" Jack said in a releaved yet exited tone, y/n could feel their face turn red as they soon responded to the black haired male "Oh! yeah i cant wait for the last ride, today's been really fun" y/n smiled, Jack smiled back making y/n get butterflies in their stomach.

When the two arrived they gave their last tickets to the worker that ran the Ferris wheel and got in one of the passenger cars waiting for the other people to get in, once the Ferris wheel started you could hear a little squeak from the machine as it started going around, after the first round y/n took a deep breath and hoped for the best to happen as they looked at jack who is admiring the view of the carnival up high "Jack, i need to get something off my chest." Y/n said trying their best not to mix up their words, the black haired male looked at y/n "I'm all ears!" he responded letting y/n know that he was listening to what they had to say, "Well uhm..you know we have been friends for a while right?" y/n whispered loud enough for their crush to hear as they looked at the view of the park, "Of course i know, it's kind of hard to forget" the smiling man replied as y/n's face got warmer and redder "Well for the past couple years I've had a thing for you, and i was wondering if you wanted to-" Y/n got cut off by a soft pair of lips kissing theirs, y/n reciprocated the kiss loving every part of it. When the two pulled away you could see a noticeable blush on both of their faces as they looked at each other "Y/n I've had the same feelings for you for a while, i'm surprised you didn't notice" Jack chuckled as he scratched the back of his head  "So does that mean?.." Y/n's eyes lit up as they saw the Taller male nod "I mean if you are okay with us being a thing then i don't mind" Jack said, the males voice was soft as he spoke looking at his hopefully soon to be s/o, y/n let out a small laugh as they replied with "Of course! i would love to be with you"

As the ride stopped the two got out of the passenger car but this time they were holding hands, as they got out the two seemed very happy that their dreams had come true, they both couldn't wait for what life has in store for them in the future, this was both a new experience for them but one things for sure is that they will handle everything together no matter what.

Wowie! that took longer then expected!
sorry if any of this sounds too cheesy or cringey it's my first time writing in forever.
So as you all know school is starting up and has even already started for some people, for me it will be starting next month on the 1st so the oneshots will be a bit slow since i do want to pass school
