"Pike knows."

Bellamy's alarmed voice made Gabriella snap her gaze away from the open Iliad sitting in her lap. Her eyebrows furrowed at the sweat that formed on his forehead despite the temperature being anything but warm and she didn't hesitate to put a piece of paper as a bookmark to know where she stopped reading and closed the book.

"Knows about what?" she asked with an almost hesitant edge to her tone. She hasn't left Bellamy's room since they came back last night, not even to go to the meeting Pike was having. She did wake up when Bellamy was about to leave and she would see he wasn't that excited to go either but him going was clearly necessary based on his panicked reaction to whatever happened.

"He knows someone here is a spy and is telling the grounders what he's doing. More specifically, he knows it's Kane." the curly headed boy informed her while running his fingers through his hair in obvious frustration.

"Shit." Gabriella cursed with wide eyes, shaking her head and scoffing under her breath, "Of course he does. Kane hasn't done anything but throw the fact that he's against Pike in his face since he got elected Chancellor. So he's not being even a bit subtle about it."

Bellamy nodded in agreement, his fist clenched as he sat down next to her on the bed. He rubbed his chin and stated, "Good thing he confronted me in the meeting room because it means Kane heard. We both know he would do something stupid to reveal himself."

"I'll meet him up when Pike heads to lunch." Gabriella concluded, resting one of her elbows on her knee and then resting her chin in the palm of that hand, "Kane never goes to lunch anyway. He and Abby always stay in."

"I know." Bellamy told her with a small weak smile, reaching forward to squeeze her knee in comfort, "How are you doing?"

Gabriella squinted her eyes at him in a '𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨?' look that made his smile turn more genuine. He watched the way her nose scrunched up in mild amusement and with admiration shining in his brown eyes. Ever since Pike came into the picture, he wasn't able to take a proper look at her. He only ever saw her calm when she was asleep. If you could even call her tossing and turning in her sleep calm.
