The next morning was boring for myself as usual. I had to go through stacks and stacks of paperwork, from clues to files. This was the worst part of my job. I sigh loudly before hearing a knock at my door, I look up as Mary continues to make my tea "come in" I say, setting a packet of papers back on my desk. The door opens and in walks Ciel and his butler "you wanted to see us?" he questions. I glance over at Mary before leaning back in my chair "Briar has told me that Sebastian is teaching her to read" I start, Ciel narrows his eyes "is this a problem?" he huffs. I smirk and shake my head "no, in fact I ask that he continue to teach her, she has taken a liking to Sebastian". Ciel glances up at Sebastian who seemed a bit surprised " I would be happy to continue if my lord allows it" he states. Ciel sighs, a hand on his hip "do as you please" he says, I nod "thank you, Ciel".

The two turn and once their gone I sigh loudly, Mary slides a piece of parchment my way and I look it over "what is-" I stop as I read it, turns out it's my schedule, and today is the day the Jackal family would be coming. Panic rises within me like a storm "blood hell, I forgot!" I shout, standing "you know what to do Mary, inform everyone and have the cook begin preparing for the dinner tonight, ready my pistol and make sure the house and the gardens are absolutely perfect" I say, leaving the room in a rush. I make my way down the grand steps before hearing a loud crash "Devat!!" Briar shouts, running down the hall and stairs, clutching my waist tightly. I frown and stare down at her "what's wrong, my dear?" I question.

Within moments I hear a familiar voice echo the halls "you brat! Get back here!". A flash of red and the sound of a chainsaw following suit. Sebastian was in front of us in seconds, silver-ware clashing with a familiar red chainsaw. I frown and look up, and sure enough, grell and Sebastian had clashed. Grell's lips curl up in a smile "Oh my! Bassy has returned!!" She squeals, jumping back as William steps out of the shadows. Sebastian seemed less than pleased "I forgot what it felt like to be around that person" he mumbles to himself with a huff. William seemed annoyed "so my hunch was correct. Pardon the intrusion, Lord Phantomhive" he states, hitting grell in the back of the head with his death scythe. The red head yelped and glared at him, rubbing the back of his head with a huff. "What is it, William?" I question as Sebastian steps to the side after giving him a nod.

The dark haired reaper adjusting his glasses with his scythe before speaking once more "we heard two demons had been spotted entering London so of course we were dispatched to investigate...turns out they were nothing but old acquaintances" he narrows his eyes slightly at Sebastian. I glance back and notice Dr. Black was watching from the threshold of the dining room, Mary busily cleaning away inside. I glare at grell "apologize" I order, turning Briar to face the red reaper who groans "fine. I'm sorry" she states. Briar nods with a small smile, the truth was that Grell had become more tolerable and less psychotic after Sebastian's disappearance. I wonder what grell was like before, from what mother said, absolutely crazy but still lovable. Sebastian also seemed to notice because he seemed less annoyed. Grell kinda just starred at Sebastian, obviously unsure of what to do before William speaks once again.

"Have you two come to mess up my work as you used to?" he questions, glaring over at Ciel. The now adult shrugs his shoulders "not exactly, I came to have a family reunion, that's all. is there a problem, Spears?" he asks, returning Will's glare. I watched them and I could feel the sparks flying before glancing over at Grell and briar. Grell had plopped down on the floor and was letting Briar braid her hair. This confused me quite a bit, but I continued to watch, ignoring the two fools glaring at each other. Finally William sighs "lets go Grell, we must report back to headquarters" he says, turning and starting to walk out of the manor. Grell hurries to her feet, patting Briar on the head, casting one last look at Sebastian, and finally dashing off to follow the other reaper.

Once they were gone I glare around "back to what you were doing! we have guests coming tonight!" I say. Dr. Black turns in his wheelchair and rolls off, Sebastian takes Briar back to the library, Mary continues with her work, and finally the only ones left were Ciel and myself.

UwU probably not qwp, Anyways, sorry it's a short chapter, I'm starting a new story called 5 Years Apart, it will be posted 2-4 days from now and I hope you guys go check it out! it's not a fan-fiction or anything, it's purely original. also, I may be discontinuing most of my other stories so watch out for that and I do apologize, I'm just really busy nowadays and my mental health hasn't been the best so motivation is quite elusive, however, I will try my hardest to continue this book and the Soul's Of The Moon trilogy.
