everything wrong with wattpad

hello, dear reader who i have no idea exists.

back in the day, wattpad used to have a newsfeed and activity pane. we were able to see every single activity a user does: votes on stories, comments, who they followed, reading lists additions... etc. i must say that era was annoying because we felt so exposed. i used not to vote on every single book i read bc i didn't want everyone and anyone to see what i read in detail.

but now, those are gone. why don't we vote, comment, and make writers happy? if you like the story, vote and say it. if you don't, also say it. writers, especially young ones, need feedback to improve. when we see reads go up with a low ratio between reads and votes, we feel disappointed in our writing. we start to think people don't like it enough to vote at least.

interactions on a story help it get suggested more as well. we need more readers, or else who do we write for?

now i understand not all people like to interact, and just like to read and never be known, but at least vote? you have a limit of 100 votes a day. imagine how many people you can make happy with that! go ahead now. go make people smile! writers don't bite!
