Not them trying to be a publishing/translating ebooks app but really coming on wattpad just to STEAL some of Wattpad writers stories WITHOUT their permission.

She didn't say which app but I'm guessing it's an coined or ads based app?? but I'm confused because My stories should ONLY BE ON WATTPAD! 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙🗣
So I'm gonna say this loud enough for the people in the back to hear me. I DON'T HAVE MY STORIES ANYWHERE ELSE BUT WATTPAD! If you are getting charged to read MY STORIES on other apps (it shouldn't be on any other apps anyways beside Wattpad. Because I NEVER gave any of them permission) You are getting scammed so call them out on it!
I kept my books FREE on Wattpad since 2014 when I started writing and even declined offers from some publishing apps because I wasn't ready for that kinda step in my life. I also kept them free because I enjoyed doing it and you all seemed to enjoy my stories as well.
I had put off my dreams of self publishing like on amazon, goodreads, barnesandnoble but I see that I should have done it long time ago. Maybe then I would have reap the rewards of my works instead of someone else.
I don't feel safe to write on Wattpad at all because all my hard work is being profit of without my permission. I honestly don't feel like finishing my ongoing stories on this app anymore. I'm so mad 😠
Because there's obviously some thieves from other apps ready to make an profit of my stories that I spend so long crafting. So I'm probably gonna go to Amazon (I will let you guys know when I do that until then I'm keeping my stories here for now but we will see).
I spend the whole day on this issues yesterday and apparently I'm not alone. Some writers are experiencing the same thing. They are taking action by writing reviews on plagiarism on their apps (it helps to draw attention on the company and accountability). I don't know if Wattpad is aware of it or not (if not they need to be).
To readers: Please, let writers know (like if you recognize their names from Wattpad but it's somewhere else). I'm thankful one of my readers message me about that website so I can talk about it because it needs to stop.
To those apps/website: If the writer DID NOT GIVE YOU PERMISSION to publish their stories ON THE SITE it's call plagiarism! Thievery! You should it TAKE IT DOWN BECAUSE IT'S ILLEGAL. Whether it is translating, copying and literally pasting it to draw traffic, readers, and profit of it on your site without the originators knowledge is wrong! Christ is watching!
