The old gloomy mansion was falling apart. The day as windy as a tornado. The plants had since turned as brown as the soil that they were planted in, show their neglect. The shutters were in disrepair, those that were not on the ground broken to pieces were hanging on by a hinge. The visible windows were as black as the night sky covered in+ clouds, not letting one ray of light through. There was no sign of visible life anywhere near the house, except for the occasional child that went by to and from their destinations. This dark mansion had a notorious past. Its owners were murdered. No one was ever charged and the case still remains open waiting for answers. Clues went cold and all suspects were proven insistent, causing the police to deemed the case cold.
Stories spread of the house being hunted by that of the murdered family. This story got even more credit because no one went into the house anymore. Though most you ask about it just say that it is a story to scare kids away from playing in a dangerous abandoned house. Others say that they have seen the faces of the family looking out at them late at night.
This house is where our story begins.
