There had been too much on his plate. Seojun just couldn't deal with it all. Seyeon had died, Suho had caused it and his girlfriend was trying to tell him that he shouldn't blame himself at all. He couldn't listen to it - couldn't hear it anymore, because he did - he helped kill his best friend.
The guilt was overwhelming, and Seojun couldn't just face the excuses she made for him. Maybe Yeori was doing it in a nice way, but she didn't understand. It didn't help to hear any of it. So, they broke up. It was too much at once - having to deal with the death of his best friend and be emotionally invested in someone that wasn't Suho - and any emotion he felt there just contributed to the feeling of needing to punch him.
It was best for her too, of course. Seojun didn't want her to deal with him as much as she would do if she stayed. And she would have otherwise, and it wouldn't be any good to her either.
Yeori had come to accept the truth of her breakup. It wasn't her fault really, but it had ached that way for a while, until she realised that Han Seojun was in too far over his head. Even more so when his mother fell ill and he dropped out for the time being.
She hated to admit it, but that was good for her as well. It allowed her to recover from her friend's death and get over her boyfriend, all whilst spending time with Sooa and Soojin - they were well overdue a shopping trip, and nothing made her feel better.
But when Seojun returns to school, no matter how hard they tried, both found they weren't as good as getting over each other as they thought.

❛ I CAN TASTE IT ━━ this book is based on the kdrama rather than the webtoon and i will be following that plot line. i only own kwon yeori's character and her story, as well as the various characters i have created that fit within that, everything else goes to the creator of the webtoon and those working on the kdrama.
❛ MY HEART'S BREAKIN' ━━ well, this is my second time around. hopefully, because this more centric around the school life and the main plot of true beauty i'll be able to update it more.
❛ PLEASE DON'T SAY ━━ i have another seojun book - actually i have two; romancing and remedy - and they have absolutely no connection to this book. i didn't plan on making a second but after steering away from the plot of the drama in remedy, i'm beginning to miss writing about true beauty and their time in high school. the first part of this book will be set in the high school, but it will branch out in all due time.
