A year ago...

It was a late evening, Heesung is seated inside at a 7/11 store in his disguise to avoid some sasaengs rampaging him as he waited for her there..

The small bell attached to the door rang, sign as a person had entered. Heesung smiled seeing the girl walking towards his way

Karina sat down at the opposite side of him, eyes staring back as she felt her eyes stinging a bit as a tear slid down and silently wiped it off and took off her mask

Heesung wasn't that oblivious and noticed it right away, he tried to hold her hand across the table but before he knew it Karina pulled her hand back

"H-Hey, What's the matter?" Heesung asked worryingly

"I'm tired..." Karina coldly stated as her eyes was looking down onto her shaky hands down the table

'She probably had a bad day' Heesung thought, As an idea came up in his mind how to cheer his girlfriend up instantly

"Do you want me to buy your favorite snack? With your favorite drink? Don't worry I'll pay for---" 

"Let's break up"

A phrase that he wasn't expecting to be said, Suddenly came out of the girl's mouth that made him quiet

"W-What...What do y-you mean?" Heesung asked immediately

"We should stop this already" Karina trying not to break down in front of him

"W-Why did I do something wrong?? We we're both fine last Saturday."

"I-Its not working.."

"Rina-yah, I-If this is a j-joke I s-swear this isn't funny"

"I'm sorry.."

Karina stood up from her seat and walked out of the store, Heesung was in the verge of tears and confusion and did not hesitate to follow her outside as he ran towards her. Immediately grabbed her hand, stopping her from walking away

"..Please let go of my hand.."

"I j-just...Why are you suddenly breaking up with me!?"

"Let g-go of my hand. P-Please.."

"Was it because I'm too much clingy?, D-Don't worry! I'll distant myself right away!"

"H-Heesung-ah.."

"O-Or maybe, I s-sneak out too often from my d-dorm. Don't worry! I'll st-stop doing it j-just for you!"

"S-Stop"

Karina was suddenly engulfed in a hug by Heesung tightly as he sobbed, wrapping his arms around her.

"I'll do everything!, Just please don't leave me"

"Let go.." Karina tried to push him away yet he only tighten his arms around her

"I love you so much, To the point even if it hurts I won't let go.." Hearing that made her teared up as she push herself away from him

"You don't understand!" Karina exclaimed at him while tears kept falling down her eyes

"Then make me understand!"  Heesung exclaimed back looking back at her

"The company already found out!"

" Found out what!?"

"ABOUT US!"

Both of them became silent as the only sound that can be heard were the flickering of the old florescent lights on the street light near them

"For the sake of both of our group's success, Let's stop this relationship"

"I won't agree to any of this!"

Heesung being conflicted about everything that's going on, ruffled his hair with his fingers roughly

"They already sent a threat to my company that they'll release our photos to the public to ruin both our group's image! What more do you want to happen!?"

"I-I'm sure we could think of another way! There has to be one!!"

"There's no other way!"

Heesung then stared at her with his eyes full of sadness, realizing that their story already had reached its end

Karina walked towards him slowly as she whispered something to him. She cupped his face and kissed him one last time before bidding farewell

"It's for the best"
