"How about this?" I said, reaching up and pulling him toward me. "Is this reason enough to stay?"
Before I could think, I kissed him full on the lips as his hands slid over his jacket on my shoulders and down around my waist. My mind raced as time hit the breaks. I was kissing Mike. I was kissing Mike. He wasn't pushing me away or politely turning me down. He was kissing me back.
And it was awesome.
We kissed so long that our classmates spotted us and started pounding on the ballroom windows. When we finally broke away, he gave his head a shake. "Einstein. Where did you learn to kiss like that?"
I laughed. "Would you believe books?"
"No. I would not believe books. Let's try that again. I want to see what you've been reading." He covered my smiling mouth with his.
