They said, at the age between 12 and 18, you get a tattoo of a quote on your wrist from your soulmate. Everyone wanted it, always talking about how they loved their soulmates just by seeing the tattoo.

That tattoo was actually a quote that describes your relationship with your soulmate. They knew to be very good in a lot of cases, but also sometimes someone is left heartbroken.

And the tattoo always shines when your soulmate is 10 meters near you when you are 18.

Yeosang, as the curious kid we all once were, was wondering who could be his soulmate already at the age of 5. It was a very interesting theme to him, love. Everyone has a way to love something or someone, even at the early age.

While he was thinking who his soulmate be, someone was watching him from a far.

"Yeo! Let's go play!" He heard a voice running to him.

It was Jongho, Yeosang's at the time best friend.

He didn't have a lot of friends, mainly because he didn't talk much and they lived in a small town so there is not much kids. Jongho was his neighbor as he lived in the house next to Yeosang's, even their parents are close.

They played everyday, ate together, walked to school together.. They basically lived with each other until the age of 12 until it all went downhill.

"Sangie.." Jongho came up to him one day, all crying.

"What's wrong Jong?"

"I'm sorry.." He mumbled.

Yeosang stared at him, waiting for him to continue as he just looked heartbroken, avoiding Yeosang's gaze.

"I have to move out of the town. My dad got a better job in another town."

Yeosang felt like his world was falling apart the moment he said that. His best friend, and only friend he had was leaving him. How was he supposed to live now?

"Why?...can't you stay here?" He asked as tears start to fall from his eyes.

"No.. I promise you I will find you when we get older." Jongho answered and pulled the other into a hug.

After that day, Jongho has left Yeosang.

Yeosang woke up, feeling like a trash again. He again had that dream of Jongho he has for the last 2 weeks. He doesn't know why it just came back so many years later.

Jongho, where are you?

Deciding he didn't want to eat anything, he did his morning routine and threw an oversized black hoodie and some denim pants and went on a walk to clear his mind a bit. He didn't know where he was going, just mindlessly looking around and walking around the island.

He soon found himself sitting on a bench that he used to go with Jongho to, looking at the sea, but it was covered by the cherry blossom tree.

He got lost in his thoughts again, not caring about anything. He closed his eyes and let the tears fall from his eyes. It hurt so much even after so many years, specially because after Jongho left, things weren't the same.

However, his thoughts got cut off by a feeling coming from his wrist.

"If you could read my heart, you would see the place I gave you there." It said in shining, red color.

My soulmate is near me? But who? I am alone here. he thought.

Yeosang acted like he didn't care, but deep down in his heart he did. I mean, he always wanted to know who his soulmate is. He just didn't want to know now.

While he still had his eyes closed, he didn't hear someone sit beside him.

"It's really quiet out here, huh?" He heard a familiar voice.

Snapping his eyes open, he saw someone he didn't expect. He knew that voice really well.
Still staring at the male wide-eyed, Yeosang moved back a little. He definitely didn't expect Jongho out of all people.

"Why are you going away?" Jongho said pouting.

"H-how.." Yeosang mumbled.

"How are you here?...you left when we were 12."

"I'll explain everything, come here.." he said and pulled Yeosang's hand so he can be near him again.

Yeosang didn't want to move, but after Jongho wrapped his arm around Yeosang's shoulder and pulled him closer, he couldn't say no.

However, when they connected their hands, their tattoos started shining.

"S-so you are my soulmate..." Yeosang mumbled.

Jongho smiled at him, petting his head and not believing how cute he still looked.

"Mmm yeah...look, I knew that and when my mom found out she decided for us to move away, however, you know I promised you to come back, didn't I?" He finished his sentence with a smile.

Yeosang just averted his gaze towards the sea, and then their hands again.

"So.. you knew that all along?"

Jongho sighed as he nodded his head.

"Look, I found out when we were 12. I saw the tattoo on my wrist and then yours also came."

"Yeah..."

They sat at with the comfortable silence around them for a few minutes, until Jongho turned his face towards the other.

"Hey, take off your hood. I want to see your face." he said and took the hood off.

Yeosang didn't look at him still, as the other male stroked his hair. He felt his cheeks burn a bit with red color coming to them.

He kept stroking his hair for a few moments, and then carefully grabbed Yeosang's chin to force him to look at him in the eyes.

"You look even prettier.." he said and started moving his hand on Yeosang's cheek and stopped on his birthmark.

He stroked the birthmark for a few moments and started pulling Yeosang a bit closer, also leaning in.

"Do you mind?" Jongho whispered as his breath hit the other's lips.

"Do it." Yeosang answered

Jongho, as soon as he said that pulled him into a kiss. Yeosang didn't waste any time and kissed him back immediately, unable to stop smiling into a kiss.

And through their lives, they were together, and none of them left each other's side ever again.
