Chapter One: Post DeVante (2000 - 2011)

Hey there, everyone! Long time no see, eh? Everything has been crazy yet worthwhile since my divorce. A lot happened over the course of eleven years: Swing Mob folded, Missy became a bonafide solo superstar with Timbaland at her side, Aaliyah, Left-Eye, Tony Thompson, Static Major, and Johnny G all died. K-Ci and Mary broke up, and she got married to her manager, Kendu. T-Boz married Mack 10 in 2000 and they had their baby girl Chase the same year but divorced in 2004. K-Ci and JoJo went to rehab numerous times, and DeVante was arrested last November for public intoxication. I've seen pictures of him through the years and he looks TERRIBLE! I guess that's karma for ya. After three years together, I remarried to my co-worker Brian Walker on September 12, 2007 and we lived a quiet life in Mesa, Arizona. That is until something terrible happened on February 6, 2009. Brian was coming home from working graveyard shift and pulled over because a woman was being beaten by her fiance. Rather than mind his business, Brian tried to defend the woman. The man shot both his fiance and Brian to death before killing himself. 

I moved to San Francisco afterwards, I don't care how long it's been since DeVante beat me and left me paralyzed, I'm still in fear of my life. Part of me wants to assume that DeVante has forgotten about my ruining Jodeci and snitching about the abuse, but I know DeVante has an inability to let things go, and word has it that through the years, he's been looking for me. He knows I'm alive, and wants nothing more than to see the life go out of my eyes.

But, Jodeci is back and in full effect. They've been performing and are set to release their first album in 20 years.....I'm happy for them, but I just want the past to be the past. If I don't, will I have a future?
