Fuck, Sans could go for a chili dog right now. No, really, he was hella craving it.
As he smashed the head of a villain under his slipper, he glanced up. The hotdog place down from where he lived was closed. So that was a no go. Darn it. All of this work and no reward, huh?
Ever since that little confrontation, or offer, Sans life has been a little hectic. The villain attacks were more prominent, more so than ever. But they weren't even villains FROM the villain league, they were independent rivals who were trying to eliminate Sans because he was approached with that offer.
Things went a little crazy that day. The blue haired son of a bitch decided to tell Sans on camera about an offer, which led to Sans getting an intense earful from the school (never a fun time) then had to deal with them watching his every move for the following week. News spread amongst the villains, and now he was constantly being harassed by both sides of the charts.
Weird, huh? He avoided picking sides because he didn't like conflict, and now both sides were conflicted with him.
The worst were the kids, though. They couldn't leave the festival, so they ended up freaking out and accidentally causing a large panic. Wasn't like Sans was in any real danger, but it was enough to cause a delay until Sans verified he had been confronted and was safe. After all, the league needed Sans alive for their offer to fucking work. He spent the rest of the day calming the kids down, and because of their outrage, and the demonstration from the beginning, the public had practically shamed the organization into allowing Sans to watch the rest of the games. At least something positive came out of that, which was quite nice.
Still, he had a lot to think about.
Sans didn't want the money. That was a solid no for sure. But he knew the dude would come back with a more tempting offer if that was his first bait for Sans. And if it weren't for the kids alone, Sans might have said yes for the money. After all, that was why he was serving the heroes. To pay off those damned debts.
And now the offers would only go up in quality. Honestly, he was kinda interested to see where it was going. It was something exciting, in a weird way. Because someone wanted to try and turn him straight to evil. Not something that happens often.
"Sans."
Okay, Sans cared for these kids. Loved 'em to death. But this was going to drive him mad.
He never realized just how much of an impact he'd left on their class. Because they were following him everywhere to make sure he was safe. Bakugou was the one who was most paranoid about that. Not about Sans being weak, he trusted Sans could kick that guys ass in a second, but because Sans was going to be followed and asked again. And Bakugou was worried Sans might be forced to say yes.
"Listen, kid, I ain't gonna..." Sans trailed off after he turned, realizing that not only Deku and Bakugou, but also red-white haired kid (always him, it was always him Sans forgot the name to) had been following him this time. "God fuck - why?"
"I just -"
"No, I get why you're following me, crush central kid," Sans said to Bakugou, gesturing to him before he glanced towards the two other stalkers. "But why you two?"
"Hey!" Bakugou squeaked, looking to the side.
"We didn't mean to follow you!" Deku said, "But then we saw you and saw the villain and were worried about you!"
Sans glanced down at their clothes. Nice jeans, ironed shirts...
"Were you two on a date?" He asked.
"Yeah," Deku said quietly, smiling at his boyfriend. Aw. Young boys in love, quite adorable. Adorable when it wasn't someone twice their age they were pining though.
Sans really needed to set up Bakugou with someone, anyone, from his class. Seriously, this kid had nothing to do but follow Sans around apparently. Should Sans be worried about his home life? Sans didn't get much training for being a teacher, what was he supposed to do if there was a problem?
"Know what? The class trip is up soon, we'll talk about it more then. We'll be all sleeping in cabins so you guys won't have to worry about me being in danger, alright?" Sans asked. "And I got it covered. You guys are just kids. So go live that life, don't follow me around trying to play security guard, because you don't deserve that."
"What about the villain?" Deku asked quietly, pointing to under Sans' foot.
Sans looked down. The person was unconscious from the brutal beating he gave earlier.
"Oh, right," He muttered, pressing his lips together. "Someone call the Principal, he said I have to report to him about this crap. I got him on speed dial now..."
