Chapter 27

When we got home it was all over the news. I'm guessing someone (cough Phoebe) told the news reporter I showed up because I heard the reporter say "and the girl who is now 16 today, showed up with her boyfriend and stepsister to get icecream." I screamed at the tv "she's not my stepsister she's my sister." "Calm down!" Kira said. I sat on the couch and took a deep beath. Ry, Bailee, Sarah, Sabrina and Rowan came rushing into my house. "We heard what happened is everything okay." Sarah said. "Yah my worst enemy is my life saver." I reply. "Who?" Bailee asked. "Pheobe." I reply. "Wow I thought you two hated eachother." Ry replies. "We did but lately she's been so nice to me." I say. I get up and walk towards my room. "What's up?" Trevor says, "there's usually a reasoning for you to walk to your room." "All day I've been faced with my past and I just want to see my future." I say, "I want to know if I have a future or not no one knows yet though. You can't tell if someone's gonna die and when." "Don't think your gonna die. Believe me we are all hoping and praying you don't we love you." Trevor says. I begin to close my eyes when my brother walks into my room from the back door, with Jake and Lily. "Happy Birthday." Jake and Lily say together. (they are definatly twins) They hand me a big card that says happy birthday on it. "Thank you guys!" I say. My brother walks back in my room from talking to my parents, he hands me a big box. "Thank you," I said surprised. I opened the box to see photo albums from when we were little. "How did you get these?" I ask. "I went to our old house with Ry and Bailee the other day and picked them up. We also got a lot of your old stuff." I give him a big hug. "Now kids are you ready for our sleepover?" I ask. "yah!" They say together. "What do you guys want to do?" I ask. "I don't know," Lily says, "What do you wanna do?" "I don't know what to do. Do you want to record a song?" I ask. "Yah 'Do You Wanna Build a Snowman!'" She says excitedly. "We can also play pirate." I add. My mom took over watching them for a while so I could take a nap after we recorded the song for Lily. Kira stayed in our room, she was on the computer. "What are you doing?" I ask. "nothing." she replies as if she's hiding something from me. "Close your eyes mom wants you to rest." she says. "Kira," I say out of no where a few minutes later, "what happens if I don't get better, what happens if I... die?" I say hesitating. "You won't I'll always be here for you so stop thinking that you will die you won't," Kira says starting to cry, "It kills me to think one day you might not be here." "I know it does and it will kill you the most but it's the circle of life." I say. "I'm gonna go help mom with the kids get some rest." she says. "ok." as she walks out of the room. I slowly begin to close my eyes. I didn't know if I was gonna die or not at this point. The doctor says with this disease there is no warning for death. I took out a pen and pad and began to write a letter to everyone individually. The first one I wrote was to Ocean and Auggie together, Ocean couldn't read so I just wrote that one together. I wrote one to Jake and Lily, they were just learning how to read. I wrote a letter to Brainy and Sarah. I wrote a letter to Ry, Bailee, Chase, Beth and my birth mom. I than desided it was time to write to the hardest people to write about after I die to was, Trevor, my parents and Kira. Kira was the hardest of all of then because she was there through almost everything, it felt like I new her my entire life. My letter to Kira said,
'Kira, I love you with all my heart and I hope you know that. You were there with me through ups and downs. You helped me get through so much. I hope you know although I'm not physically there with you, I will always be right next to you. You taught me how to play piano and guitar and didn't get sick of me. We watched endless amounts of movies, made cookie dough just to eat it and ate sushi almost everyday. I love you for that and you will always be my number one sister.

I hid the letters in my draw and closed my eyes. I slowly started to fall asleep. I heard my door open but I stayed asleep. The person sat at the edge of my bed and rubbed my feet "everything will be okay." I heard them say. I was thinking it was Trevor, but I wasn't sure. I hear Kira walk in my room a few minutes later, "You ready? let's let her sleep she had a long day." I hear her say. I slowly open my eyes and see Chase sitting at the edge of my bed. "What are you guys doing?" I ask. "Getting away from you." Kira jokes. "No we're going to dinner." she says. "Nice, how long have I been asleep for?" I ask. "A few hours." Kira says like it's nothing. "Oh shoot, I was sapposed to help mom babysit Jake and Lily." I say panicking. "Don't worry I helped her." she says. Kira and Chase slowly back out of the back door, "see you later." Kira says. I go to the living room to go play with Jake and Lily. When I got to the living room they were in the kitchen. "Mom what did you do to them?" I say seriously. "I let them make cookies like you always do." She replies. "Yah but you don't let them do it on their own you have to do it with them than let them eat alittle not all of it!" I say. "I'll go clean them up and put them in their pajamas." I say holding Lily's hand walking to the bathroom. "What did you guys do while I was asleep?" I ask. "Wishing you were playing with us." Lily says sadly."You missed me?" I ask, "how long was I asleep for? Didn't you have fun playing with my puppies?" I ask. "yah you were asleep for a few hours and I didn't really play with your puppies." she says. "Well you know we can go outside more because they caught grandma. So do you wanna go to my old house Trevor kept everything in it we can look at some of my old stuff that your dead didn't take." I say. "Yah," Jake says "is there any of your pirate treasure?" He asks. "yes there is Jake." We walk out of the bathroom into the living room. "I'm taking them to my old house." I say walking out the door. "We can also see Ry and B." I say to them. As we get to my old front door and I unlock the door, I see Chase and Kira inside the locked house. "What are you doing here?" I ask.
"Ummm... nothing." Kira says hesitating to answer. "Tell me." I demand. "We were just looking for pictures you didn't take B said she saw some pictures you didn't take," Kira said, "What are you doing here?" "I'm showing them my room and treasure." I say.
