Ch 32

2 months later

Avery: "Talia"

Nat: "yes?"

Avery: "don't forget to tell tony that you want the day off tomorrow"

Nat: "wait why again? I'm sorry I've been busy and have so much on my mind"

she digs her face into her hands

Avery: "because tomorrow we find out if we are having a kid"

Nat: "Oh my god that's right. I can't believe I forgot"

Avery walks over to her

Avery: "it's fine, you've been busy"     

Natasha kisses Avery

Nat: "We might have a kid. I can't believe it"

The next morning

Natasha wakes up and Avery is nowhere to be found

Nat: "av... av"

She sits up quickly

Natasha turns to her phone

She sees a text avery send about 10 minutes ago

It read

Avery: "I'll be right back, I have to pick up a couple of things including the test. I'll be back soon love you baby"

Nat: "thank god she's okay"

30 minutes later

Avery: "baby I'm back are you up?"

Nat: "yeah I've been up for a bit"

Avery places the bags down on the counter and walks over to the bedroom

She leans against the doorframe

Avery: "are you ready or do you want to wait a bit?"

Nat: "I don't know"

Avery: baby just remember if this doesn't work we can try again or adopt okay. Just don't feel like it's your fault if this doesn't work. I know you. When stuff doesn't work out you blame yourself"

Nat: "I know I know"

Avery walks over and sits on the bed.

Natasha hugs her

Nat: "I love you, babe"

Avery: "I love you too baby"

They kiss

Nat: "I'll try the test in an hour I'm just really tired and out of it right now"

Avery: "take your time"

An hour later

Nat: "okay...I'm ready to do it"

Avery: "Are you sure? If not it's totally okay"

Nat: "no I'm sure I'm sure"

Avery: "okay"

She hands Natasha the pregnancy test. Natasha takes a deep breath and walks over to the bathroom. A few minutes pass and Natasha walks out. She lays back down on the bed next to Avery

Nat: "We have to wait 5 minutes"

5 minutes later

Natasha walks to the bathroom and grabs the test. She walks back into the bedroom and avery sits up

Avery: "ready to see?"

Natasha sits next to Avery

Nat: "not really"

She takes a deep breath

Avery turns the test over

It reads pregnant

Avery and Natasha start to cry

Nat: "we are going to be parents"

Avery: "I can't believe it"

They kiss

A month later

Avery: "Talia... baby where are you?"

Nat: "in here"

Avery walks into the bedroom

Avery: "where?"

Nat: "bathroom"

Avery walks in and sees Natasha sitting on the floor

Avery: "you okay baby?"

She walks over to Natasha and sits down next to her

Nat: "yeah i'm fine just feel nauseous"

Avery: "do you need anything?"

Nat: "no I'm fine....thanks though"

Avery holds Natasha's hands and kisses them

Nat: "When do you think we should tell the team? They are going to find it suspicious that I'm gaining weight like crazy, I'm always exhausted, and I'm not feeling well most of the day"

Avery: "i'm not sure. Should we ask the doctor tomorrow since we have an appointment? See what she thinks?"

Nat: "I guess that sounds good. I can't believe we are going to be moms"

Avery: "I can't believe it either"

Natasha leans over the toilet and throws up

Avery rubs Natasha's back

Nat: "s-sorry about that"

Avery: "hey it's okay... its not your fault baby"

She pulls Natasha's hair back

Avery: "it's not your fault."
