End of the Hourglass

8 3 1

they say take each day by the grasp of your hand

don't let life pass you by with a jar full of sand

but what if the inevitable marching of time

marches too fast to keep up with your rhyme

for time makes you tired, disappointingly so

It causes you grief, gets you stuck in deep snow

but it's when sinking through ice when it finally stills

a glimpse of deaths door shows the fear time instills

for every minute each day

in the back of our minds

is the reminder of death we creep closer with time
