When you cry

You look so beautiful when you cry. Your nose red, and your lips plump and dark. Your eyes so clear and vulnerable. The waterfall running down your cheek. Your pupils so small, like tiny black dots in an ocean of tears. That roll down your flushed cheeks as you kiss her for the last time. The last goodbye that you'll ever hear from her lips. Before she goes and you cry for days. You're so sensitive, such a sensitive little girl. I guess that's what I admire about you. That courage you have to live for her after the absence of her life. That physical pain you had in your chest when she told you those three words with her last breaths on the battlefield.

"I love you."
