Ch: 8

𝐄𝐢𝐣𝐢'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

When Ash told me that he inherited everything from Dino including his house, I couldn't believe it.

"What?!" I yelled.

"I know you can't believe it." He said.

"Of course I can't believe it!" I yelled. "You're rich now!?"

"I guess. We're gonna go tour the mansion tomorrow to see if it's still in good shape, because I have an idea." Aslan said.

"Okay." I said. We walked out of the room. Josh and Jessica looked at us.

"I'll tell you later Jessica." Ash said. Josh asked,

"What happened?"

"Ash just told me something." I said. I was still in disbelief, he owns all of Dino's personal belongings.

"What did he tell you?" Josh asked. I figured out Josh really liked asking questions and was quite chatty. 

"You'll find out, it's really cool." I said. Josh smiled,

"Okay." He said. Aslan then sat down in front of Josh,

"What did you like doing before what happened?" He asked. 

"I like singing, and watching musicals." Josh said.

"That's cool. What's your favorite food?" I asked. 

"I like a lot of different food. But my favorite might be seafood." 

"That's nice." I said. "Seafood is good." Josh nodded. 

"What do you guys do?" He asked us. 

"I like to go to the library." Ash said.

"That's cool." Josh said.

"Do you have a favorite Broadway show Josh?" I asked. 

"No. I like them all." He said. "I would like to see one one day." Ash looked at me and winked. He knew what to do to cheer this kid up. 

"Do you like anything else?" Aslan asked. 

"I like the park." Josh said. 

"We could go to central park later this week." Aslan suggested. 

"That'd be nice." I said. "You could get some fresh air, because nature is relaxing." Josh put his hands in is lap.

"I guess so." He said in a quiet voice. 

"Are you okay?" Aslan asked. Josh shrugged, 

"I don't know. I guess I don't wanna walk near strangers yet" He said. Ash nodded,

"I understand." He said. "I went through the same thing. Jessica too." Jessica nodded,

"Yup." She said. 

"You're like me?" Josh said. He then covered his mouth with one hand and started crying. Ash hugged him and Josh hugged him back. 

𝐀𝐬𝐡'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

When I hugged Josh all I could see was me hugging my younger self. After a couple minutes of Josh holding me, I started crying. Eiji then hugged both of us. 

"You guys are nice." Josh said. "I trust you won't hurt me." This made me hug him tighter. 

"I would never hurt you." I told Josh. "I will protect you, even if it means my life." 

𝟏 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫

Jessica left, and me, Eiji and Josh were sitting at the table playing Monopoly. They both owe me 80 million dollars,

"How are you guys not bankrupt yet?" I asked. 

"I'm not bankrupt yet because I'm finding a way to get money out of both of you." Josh said putting his money in place. 

"Ooh, we're playing like that I see." I said. "I already own more than half the properties on the board. I've already won in my eyes."

"I've accepted the fact that I'm losing." Eiji said. I laughed. 

"I've paid back half my dept." Josh said. "I'm coming in second, possibly first." 

"Well if you roll any number on the dice you'll still land on my property." I said.

"Well it's your turn." Josh told me. I grabbed the dice, made an intense face while rolling them then dropped them on the board.

"HA!" I yelled. "A 9!" 

"And I own B&Q Railroad. Pay up." Josh said. 

"Do you really?" I asked. Josh showed me the B&Q Railroad card.

"Yeah." He said. "And it has a hotel on it. Pay up." 

"How much do I owe you?" 

"60,000." 

"Dang it." I said. Eiji and Josh laughed. I paid Josh with 60,000 in Monopoly money. 

"Cool." Josh said. "Now I might win." 

"Okay I give up, this game will never end." I said. "You win."   

"Alright!" Josh cheered. "That was fun. Maybe we can play again later." Eiji was laying his head on the table and I was leaning back in my chair. 

"Maybe we can play again in a year, or two." Josh suggested.

"That'd be nice." Eiji said. Josh skipped out of the room. 

"He's a great kid." I said. Eiji nodded.
