"Oh, and can you get a friend to drive you home from school today? I'm going out later." Karls mom asked him as he neared the door, ready to leave.

Karl rolled his eyes and groaned. "I guess." He shrugged and looked at his feet.

"Without an attitude, Karl. You know, you wouldn't have to deal with this if you got yourself a drivers license." Karls mom eyed him.

"You know, I wouldn't have to deal with this if you didn't always go out with friends." Karl mumbled to himself.

"Karl, you're walking on thin ice right now." His mother said sternly and softly at the same time.

"I gotta go, mom, George is waiting for me, love you." Karl spoke as he walked out the door.

"Love you too, bye sweetie." He heard faintly. Karl skipped to George's car and attempted to open the door only to figure out it's locked. Karl rolled his eyes playfully while George chuckled and unlocked the door.

Karl got in the car and softly shoved George. "You're annoying, you know that?" He laid his bag at his feet and put his seat belt on.

"Yeah, but, it's funny." George smirked as he pulled out of Karl's driveway. "So, you ready for the test in Chem today?"

"Yeah, I think so, you?" George nodded. "Oh yeah, you think you could drive me to work today? ....and take me home?" Karl asked, and George raised his eyebrows.

"Oh, I didn't realize today was your first day. Yeah, I'm free."

"Wha- how did you not know?? I've been talking about it all week!" Karl laughed.

"You talk about a lot of things, I can't keep up." George shrugged. Karl gasped and clutched his chest as if he was hurt.

"I'm telling on you, I'm gonna tell Bad that you were being mean to me." Karl giggled as George pulled into the school parking lot. George parked and Karl unbuckled his seat belt. He grabbed his backpack and got out of the car.

"Hurry up, George. You always take forever." George got out of the car and started walking towards the school with Karl.

"You got a lot to say for someone who needs me to drive you to school everyday, to work today, and to your house." George said smugly. Karl rolled his eyes and George had yet another smart comment.

"Keep rolling your eyes, Karl, maybe one day you'll find a brain back there." Karl hit George's arm as they walked through the doors of the school.

"Whatever, I gotta go to class. I'll talk to you in third."

George raised his eyebrow. "You're not gonna eat breakfast with me and the others?"

"No, my mom made me eat breakfast at home cause she thinks the school food is unhealthy, I don't know." Karl shrugged.

George laughed. "Okay, bye Karl!" George waved before walking off.

Karl headed towards his class at a slow pace, waving to some acquaintances while walking.

He walked through his classroom door and sat at his desk. He pulled out his homework and his study guide so he could study before class starts since he just so happened to have Chemistry for first period.

About 15 minutes later his friend Dream walked in the classroom and sat beside him.

"Hey Karl, whatcha workin' on?" Dream sat his backpack beside him.

"Hi Dream, just studying. How are you feeling about the test?"

"Feeling pretty good, George tutored me." Karl raised an eyebrow and made a suggestive noise. Dream laughed. "Yes, and while he was at my house we had sex." They both burst out laughing while Dream was struggling for air.

"No but for real," Dream said as after he caught his breath. "George is surprisingly a good tutor. I actually understood this class for once."

Karl nodded "Yeah well he is actually pretty smart." Just as he finished his sentence their teacher, Mr. Atnip, walked in. Dream layed back in his seat and looked at him.

"Goodmorning Mr. Catnip! How are you?" Mr. Atnip sighed and turned around to look at Dream.

"I'm good Dream, thank you for asking. Now," He clapped. "I hope everybody got their homework done cause I'm collecting it now and it's worth 30% of your grade."

Mr. Atnip started walking around the room, getting everyone's papers. When he neared my desk he grabbed my paper and looked at my open study guide.

"If you studied before class started I appreciate that but its time to put it up." He tapped my desk twice with two fingers and moved to the next desk. I put my study guide in my backpack and looked at Dream.

"Did you do the homework?" Karl asked.

"Nope, but its fine cause I'm sure I'll get a good grade on this test and it'll make up for it." Karl chuckled and nodded his head slowly while turning back to the front of the class.

"Alright, most of you" Mr. Atnip eyed Dream "did your homework so thats good but now we have a test." Some of the class groaned as if they didn't already know we had a test today.

"Yes I know, I know. Its so awful to just go over what we've been learning for weeks now." A few students chuckled and Mr. Atnip mumbled something under his breath.

He started passing out the tests and Karl took a deep breath in. Although he was pretty confident he was still nervous.

timeskip

"Okay class, times up. I'm going to take up your tests." Karl had got done a little bit ago so that wasn't a problem.

"So, how are you feeling about starting your job today?" Karl turned to face Dream.

"I'm actually excited, I'll have something to do after school." I laughed.

"Yeah but you could've hung out with us."

"Hmmm, no, I don't really like you guys." Dream scoffed at this and acted offended.

"How dare you say such a thing." He guffawed. Karl laughed again and shrugged.

All of a sudden the bell rang and everyone got up to leave class. Karl put his pencil in his backpack and got up with Dream. They walked out of the class and went their separate ways.

This period flew by and before he knew it, Karl was in 3rd period. Which he just so happend to have George and Sapnap.

At the beginning of the year everybody got to choose where they sat and those became their assigned seats so naturally, the 3 friends sat close to each other.

That was a mistake. For George at least.
