Pewter City Gym Battle

After a few more hours of walking, you guys finally arrived at Pewter City. Quickly, you two made it to a Pokemon Center and healed up Kadabra and Haunter along with Staryu. For there, you two made your way down to the gym and got ready for your match. Misty handed you Staryu's Pokeball and nodded at you.

Misty: Be careful with her. No overly powerful attacks. If you know she is about to get knocked out, then get her out of there. And lastly-

(Y/N): Misty. I know what I'm doing. Don't worry about me or Staryu.

Misty: You've never been on a proper journey before! I was able to get through these guys. But you are an entirely different story.

(Y/N): I'm not an idiot! I already have almost a full team and I have your badge. I know what I am doing.

Misty: Fine, fine. Go for it then. I'll be watching though.

(Y/N): Right. Thank you.

Misty: But I am NOT wearing a cheerleader outfit!

(Y/N): I never said I wanted to see you in one!

Misty: You were thinking it!

Misty huffed and walked towards the stand side. You, meanwhile, walked into the main gym as you saw Brock, the gym leader standing on the other side of the arena. He smiled at you as you walked up to the main stage. Once you reached the stage you looked up to the stands and saw Misty waved to you. You waved back to her and turned back to Brock.

Brock: Welcome to Pewter City! Are you ready to claim your gym badge?

(Y/N): I am more than ready!

Brock: Then show me!

Brock threw out his Geodude, slamming his fists together. You smiled and threw out Misty's Staryu. Brock nodded and the battle began.

Brock: Tackle!

(Y/N): Watergun!

Staryu fired off a beam of water as Geodude took the blast full force. It felt enough damage to launch the floating rock back across the area.

(Y/N): Use tackle!

Staryu dashed around the arena and tackled Geodude while he was on the ground. Quickly, Geodude was already taken out. Staryu quickly came back to your side of the arena.

Misty: NICE JOB STARYU!

You smiled up at Misty as Staryu cheered its name. However, the sound of a poke ball was eared as you saw Onix slowly stood over Staryu.

Brock: Bind!

Quickly, Onix wrapped its body around Staryu, Misty's Pokemon unable to move fast enough to dodge the attack. Staryu yelled a bit as the attack was able to crush her a little bit. Staryu broke free a little bit and got free.

Misty: Staryu!

(Y/N): Staryu! Are you ok?

Staryu shook itself and got ready to fight.

Brock: Tackle!

Onix quickly moved through to try and attack Staryu once again. The damage was done as Staryu was knocked down to the ground. While hurt, Staryu still got up and she got ready for an attack.

(Y/N): Watergun then tackle!

Staryu yelled out as a massive blast of water was shot towards the rocky snake. It was able to land a blow on the Onix, draining it a little. Tackle was able to deal more damage and knock Onix down, but not out.

Brock: Onix use screech then tackle!

Onix screeched out, getting Staryu a little bit more damage but it was definitely that tackle that finally took Staryu out. Misty latched onto the railing as you knelt down beside Staryu. You softly pet the Pokemon as you put it inside her Pokeball.
