(Elizabeth's pov)
The man looks at Tanya then at me "Hello Carlisle it's nice to see you" Tanya tells him with a gentle smile He smiles back "It is lovely to see you too Tanya may I ask what do we owe this lovely visit to" he asks and I can't help but wonder the same as to why she insisted we talk to them
"I would like you and your wife to hear Lizzie's story to see if my assumption is correct " she says He looks at me then Tanya "may i ask what assumption you have about her story"
"I wish not to say in case i am wrong best not to get anyone's hope up sorry " he then simply nods and motions for us to follow him as he leads us up the stairs and to their family room
Once we arrive in the family room and I see the woman sitting there I realized it was why she wanted me to tell the story to them the woman looks strikingly similar to my mother just with heightened vampire features how did I not see her before she could be my mother I wonder
I freeze for a moment and look over Tanya It seems she read my mind so she grabs my hand smiling and leads me over to the couch across from the other woman once we sit down I look at Tanya again "is she" I ask
She smiles "I believe so but I want to be sure so if you would ask her show her your proof Tell her your story" she tells me while giving my hand a gentle squeeze Carlisle and the woman looks confused when I look at them
Taking an unneeded breath I nod after looking at them one more time I grab my bag and pull out my mother's picture then look at the woman I slowly hand her the picture "is this you" I ask un sure of how to react
She looks down at the picture as if trying to see herself in the grainy quality "Where did you get this" she says as she looks up at me
"So is it you" I ask instead of answering her question She looks back down at the picture before looking backup at me "yes this is a picture of me my parents had done up" she says I take and bigger gulp of unneeded air before going in my bag and pulling out my birth certificate
"Is this also your name you signed on this" I asked slowly handing her my birth certificate When she looks at it she sobs and I can see venom polling in her eyes wanting so desperately to fall as she covers her mouth with her hand I hear her whisper my baby and I can feel venom polling in my own eyes
I see Carlisle leaning over to look at the paper that she is holding Before looking up at Tanya "Tanya what is this about" He asks and she simply holds up a hand for him to hold off his questions
The woman looks up at me and I stared her Before I start to explain "my name is Elizabeth may Platt my mother's name is Esme Anne Platt I was told my mother died 2 days after I was born and I was put in the care of my grandparents I grew up on a farm just outside of Columbus, Ohio"
The woman starts to shake her head "no the nurse said my baby died in her sleep you couldn't be her they took her and wouldn't even let me say goodbye to my child afraid the favor would spread" she said through the sobs
"If you are Esme Anne Platt and you jumped off a cliff in 1921 then you might be my mother The details surrounding what happened to me and my mother were in the newspaper apparently a woman dressed as a nurse told my mother of my passing to try and take me"
"yes I was sick I had a fever but the medicine they gave me worked whenever the head nurse noticed that a stange woman was trying to leave with me she took me from her and was about to take me back to my mother But my mother was gone they tried to get ahold of her by calling her but had no luck so they had the police look for her"
"what they police found was that she jumped off of a cliff They said that she was too far gone to revive and they had to track down my grandparents and put me in their care"i tell her tring hard to hold myself together I feel Tanya place her hand on my knee
" I have proof I have the newspaper clipping my grandparents kept it to give to me when I got older and wanted to know what happened to my mother they wanted me to know that my mother loved me they made sure I knew that every day they always told me that my mother jumped so she wouldn't have to be without me and... and I wouldn't have to be without her" I sob out as I hand her the newspaper
She reads it over for a moment "my grandparents where told her body went missing so they didn't have one to bury but please if you are my mother tell me I feel like this is a story I never got full closure on I have no memory of my mother just stories my grandmother would tell me or my grandfather so please if you could just tell me if you are or not" I beg as I stand up hoping for something
Before I know it the woman is rushing over to me and pulling me in her arms for a hug I hear her mumbled in my shoulder "my sweet child my little girl how is this possible how are you here with me right now I thought you were gone I thought I was never going to see you again"
I sobbed and ripped my arms around her round her " is it really true your my mother I've missed you so much I missed you everyday for a while I thought it was my fault I thought I did something to make you not want to be with me it wasn't until grandma and grandpa explained to me what happened that I understood they told me you loved me"
"Oh I did i still do my sweet girl" she tells me at some point in our conversation Carlisle and Tanya stepped out to give us some privacy
