LUNA MADE IVY get a job. so now ivy has to work at a small shop by the beach. it's actually ran by her aunt, dalphne. she was mad at first but then her mood lightened because she got to see cute boys surf, one time she even thought she saw John B.

It was a sunny afternoon and out of the window she saw a group of people, one girl and three guys, come back from the ocean with a broken board. they started looking around the beach until they saw the surf shop.

they began walking to it and ivy now saw their faces more clearly. she realized it was the pogues. her eyes widened and she ran to the back where her aunt was.

"hey sweetie, why do you look like you just saw jake gyllenhaal?", her aunt asked.

"i just saw JJ" she whispered.

"JJ? like the guy you had a thing for JJ?".

"i didn't have a thing for JJ".

"yeah sure" her aunt replied unconvincingly.

"i didn't! but that doesn't matter, him and everybody else is about to come in here with a broken board and i don't want to be the one they go to" ivy explained.

"sweetie, you know your going to see him at some point, it's a small island. and if he sees me he's going to know your with me".

"but then that would give me some time to plan how i'm going to him from him until i go to college"

"college, really?"

"yeah i know, didn't even convince myself".

"okay whatever, now your going to go in there and face your fears. maybe even act like he isn't even there"

"yeah, your right. i'll just go in there and act like he's invisible".

after a few seconds ivy asked, "but what if he talks to me? what would i do then?"

"you respond. act like your unfazed sweetie".

"okay, i got this. and in case i come back in here crying tell mom to make pasta". she said then walked out.

she went back to the front but stayed at the register. as soon as she was about to sit down the door bells chimed. and she did in fact see the pogues. pope walked in first, followed by kiara, then john b, and lastly JJ.

she froze. everything that her aunt told her to do left her mind. her mind was blank, she didn't know what to say. that was until pope said, "ives? when did you come back? why didn't you tell me?" he then went behind to register and hugged her.

after he hugged her john b and kiara followed while JJ was awkwardly standing behind holding his broken board.

"we're actually here because JJ broke his board, again" John B explained.

"yeah, i can see that" she faked laughed.

JJ then looked up and they both made eye contact. they looked at each other like they haven't seen each other in years.

after a few seconds JJ finally said, "hi"while raising his hand and smiling.

ivy used to love his smile and now it made her want to cry. even though she despised him right now she  didn't want him to see that he made her feel some type of way.

"hi" she said back to him.
